    Yes, they're expensive. As you can see in the battery thread I recommend a sealed AGM battery for most uses of most Sevens (if you're not making the jump(!) to lithium). In your position I'd be looking at a Varley Red Top (which are all AGM type) that you know will fit or a Powervamp/ Odyssey where you've checked the dimensions. The latter will probably be cheaper. There are three ways of posting images: two by uploading them to this site, and one by linking to them on another site eg Dropbox. They're all described in the Forum User Guide: https://www.lotus7.club/forum/chitchat/forum-user-guide Most Members now use the shortcut upload: https://www.lotus7.club/comment/2252151#comment-2252151 That's quick and comparatively easy, but it does limit the resolution of the image. Not usually a problem for photos but can be for screen dumps, images of documents etc. The other two methods don't have that limitation. Please let me know if you need any help or want to practise.     Yes. they should be fixed "vertically or, where that is not reasonably practicable, in a position as close to the vertical as is reasonably practicable.". As above: I'm not aware of any problems at MoT inspections or with police actions. Jonathan

    Many of us use tape, either double-sided or heavy duty hook and eye. Surface preparation is very important, and adhesives work much better when they're warm! Jonathan

    Any recent work on it? "I guess I'm looking for sticky action at the pedal or other end of the cable" I'd disconnect in as many places as possible, and then feel the action of each component when worked by hand. Weren't there some reports of jamming caused by overtightening at throttle bodies? Jonathan
