  1. "When cold and the fan not running I get 12v at the fan plug, when it reaches 97 and gets the signal from the ECU it reads 12.5-13.5v is that slight increase in voltage what switches on the fan?" Where are you putting the other probe? And what colours are the wires to the fan motor? Jonathan
  2. If you'd like a wiring diagram please send me a Private Message with your email address. Jonathan
  3. Previous discussion. I can't find a template. Jonathan
  4. "... I would not expect to see 12v while the engine is cranking, given the small battery. It is likely to be nearer 10v." I'd be concerned about the state of the battery by anything below 10.5 V while cranking. And some electronics on some Sevens gets unhappy. Jonathan
  5. Well done. Thanks for the update. And check that loading at the brackets as you remove it! Jonathan
  6. As above. Please let me know if you'd like a copy of the Assembly Guide. Jonathan
  7. "It would also be worth checking the earth side for continuity." Yes. And before removing the pump I'd run a good feed and earth directly to it. Jonathan
  8. Please add a photo. Jonathan

  13. NB Club discount at Halfords. Jonathan
  14. As above. But if it's a metal can type you can also transfix it with a screwdriver and then use that as a lever. Jonathan
  15. I try to avoid any sealing compounds for radiators or hoses. Jonathan
  16. Yours doesn't look like the same sort of fault that has recently affected so many aluminium radiators. But I'd still check that there aren't any twisting or bending forces on the radiator from the mountings. It should clamp up nicely without these forces and you can check when you take it out. Jonathan
  17. One Member has a radiator blind controlled from the cockpit... Jonathan
  18. I'd get it out and inspected by whoever might repair it if that's possible. Recent discussion of a similar problem. NB Safety precautions: the petrol vapour lingers. Jonathan
  19. "Alternator on my 2002 K series road sport is not charging at a level to make the red light go out. Checked with meter, not reaching 11 volts and does not alter with higher revs." It does sound as if it's duff. But check the connectors and the wiring, including the engine block earth, before anything expensive. Please let me know if you'd like a wiring diagram. Jonathan
  20. "Does anyone know the part number for ,I suppose the standard rover replacement part." First I'd try and identify the family. Can you see any markings on it and what's the terminal layout? Jonathan
  21. What Ian says: they're surprisingly repairable and that way both the brackets and wiring will fit. Jonathan
  22. Someone has a very big Coke can. Jonathan
