  1. 2.0 Imperial pints = 1.14 L. 2.5 Imperial pints = 1.42 L. Could you add the document, please. Jonathan
  2. Assembly Guides give it as 0.7 L and as 1.0 L. Fill to the hole or as instructed by the supplier of the diff. Jonathan
  3. Yes, there's lots in the archives but it's scattered across many threads. How are you searching? I suggest something like: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site:caterhamlotus7.club+wing+stay+zzs+13%22+60 and refining from that. Jonathan
  4. "Haven't been able to identify the one that hangs down as yet. I tried all the lights and other electrics but couldn't feel it doing anything. I'll need to remove it and see what doesn't work.. " That should do it. And the colour of the wires connected at the base, please. Jonathan
  5. If you're searching outside the Caterham world beware... there are several different Sierra diffs. That was the only reference that I could find in the archives. That surprised me as I thought that various threads had mentioned various threads. Please let us know what fits. Jonathan
  6. Experience with a Skyrich HJT12B-FP in another thread. 1.05 kg Jonathan
  7. "The other fuses were identified in this thread, but I haven't identified the relays as yet. I will try and locate the indicator relay as I want to upgrade to LEDs." Got it, thanks. That thread includes a possible relay layout. I have some circuit diagrams that didn't appear in Assembly Guides that might become relevant. When investigating this relay please could you try and discover if it is the headlamp ON/OFF, the headlamp MAIN/ DIP, or something else. And note the colours of the wires connected to the relay base. Thanks Jonathan
  8. As above. Or remove the relay from its base and see what stops working. Jonathan PS: I'd be very interested in some photos of the layout of the other relays and the fuses.
  9. Until proved otherwise that's the headlamp relay. Recent discussion. Please could you test to check. Thanks Jonathan
  10. I haven't heard of problems related to types. But if I had I'd ask Redline! : - ) Jonathan
  11. Thanks for adding the answer. Jonathan
  12. As you say: Label, label, label; photograph, photograph, photograph. Annotate a copy of the Assembly Guide as you work. List all of the fasteners etc that need to be replaced as they come out. ... Specialist tools in the Register of Equipment for Loan. ... Jonathan
  13. Good advice above. Until this is solved I suggest carrying some spare coolant or water just in case. Jonathan PS: When you feel like a break there's a great walking trail along the coast from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles. And a lot of "Drive on the left" signs as you return to the main road...
  14. 2021 Owners Handbook "all models": Jonathan PS: If you'd like a copy of the Assembly Guide and Handbook please send me a Private Message with your email address.
  15. "I'm also confused about the single lamp used to show that the indicators are on. It is not working. The diagram show both the GR and GW wires going to it, but no path to ground. Is that done by the metal instrument panel? Is there some path through the "unused" GR or GW wire to ground?" It's one of the two funny circuits. The circuit is completed through the indicator lamps on the other side of the car! Circuit diagram. (This is why you can't do a straight replacement of the incandescent dash bulb with an LED... ) Jonathan
  16. "My 88 Caterham has an odd indicator problem I have not seen before in tech talk. When switching on either left or right, the opposite side comes on at about 1/4 - 1/3 power also. I suspect the the hazard switch because the hazards were causing the flasher to buzz instead of switching until I actuated them several times. Now they work, but can't get the indicators to behave. Suggestions?" That sounds like the common problem inside the rocker type hazard warning light switch, and I'd start with exploring that. There's a *full explanation in the archives, but you can sometimes localise the fault by working the switch a few times and seeing if that has any effect. If it does then you can open the switch and clean the contacts. Or buy a new switch from Redline. ... The next most common problem is probably the indicator unit ("relay") and its connections. Inspect the pins and check the seating. Then try another unit. ... Jonathan * Why it causes the strange effects, and an improved circuit design that removes the problem.
  17. Do you have a multimeter and would you like a wiring diagram? Jonathan
  18. IIRC there's a recent discussion of this with an explanation... but I can't find it! Jonathan
  19. What's the tyre width and profile, please? Jonathan
  20. "All fuses checked (but anyway unlikely as other sidelight is working)." ... "I now notice that the rear light on that side is also part of the same circuit and also does not illuminate when I switch the lights on (either sides or main), but the brake lights do work. So it looks like the break is between the connector plug to the headlamp bracket and the fuse box - but unfortunately there is nothing obvious to be seen and it's pretty difficult to test." ... The left side and right side circuits for the position lights might have different fuses... ... so I'd check those fuses again. And if they're intact the contacts and the connections at the fuse box. Jonathan
  21. "Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a CSR200? (I guess not that different from other 7s). ": Steve Marsh has a nicely curated set of documents for the CSR. I suggest downloading them all while they’re there: http://www.sjmmarsh.com/7files/Caterham%20CSR%20Superlight%20Suspension%20Set%20up.pdf http://www.sjmmarsh.f2s.com/index.htm ... British "standard" wiring colours. Jonathan
