  2. I can see the image in #6. It's probably that PDF viewing problem. Hang on a minute... now reposted as JPEG. Any better? Jonathan
  3. And any previous emission analyses that you can find, please. Jonathan
  4. If it's an ordinary earth I suspect that it's the post to which all of the instrument earths are connected. Tucked away on the RHS of the dashboard. Jonathan PS: You're welcome to a wiring diagram but it doesn't include physical locations so it probably won't help.
  5. The design of the original jerrycan is so wonderful that, other things being equal, I'd buy a new NATO version. ... +1 I bought mine in a Govt surplus store years (and years) ago to keep two-stroke mix for my motorbike. Still going strong (the can, not the bike). ... "“Have nothing in your garage that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” As the other William Morris didn't say. Jonathan
  6. This one? Hunersdorff 20 Litre Plastic Fuel Can Thanks Jonathan
  7. How about a ring connector on the wire and an ordinary bullet socket to hold it in place? Or half of one? Jonathan

  9. Thanks, Ian. I would have suggested/tried bullet connectors but I didn't know how well they fitted. Jonathan
  10. Are we both talking about: https://www.burtonpower.com/reverse-switch-types-2-3-5-9-e-f-not-2000e-gbt9545.html Jonathan
  11. My first choice suppliers would be Redline and Burton Power. You should be able to make that switch with two terminals work by connecting the existing wire to the lamp to one terminal and a new wire to a good earth to the other terminal. (On switches with a single terminal the connection to earth is made through the body of the switch.) Jonathan
  12. Putting aside the safety aspects, the legislation and what garages decide... what do you want to use it for? Thanks Jonathan PS: The design of the original jerrycan is so wonderful that, other things being equal, I'd buy a new NATO version.
  13. If you'd like any Assembly Guides, wiring diagrams, Workshop Notices etc please let me know, Jonathan
  14. Whatever it's made of I would want to be sure that it isn't applying any load on the radiator, except for the circumferential sealing on the stub. And I'd take the opportunity to check how the radiator sits on the mounting brackets for the same reason. Jonathan PS: There are three commonly-used suppliers of silicone hoses and they all seem to have happy customers. There are sometimes Club discounts.
  15. We have had help in the past from the UK service agent: 213 Performance. NB: Members' discount. Jonathan PS: Failed switch or an interesting project... ?
  16. Well done (apart from the subterfuge), and thanks for letting us know, I hope that the next stages can be completed quickly. Jonathan
  17. Thankyou. Do you have access to a copy of Weale? Jonathan
  18. Off to check some Assembly Guides... Who has suggested that they will cause overheating? Thanks Jonathan
  19. The Sierra diff fitted by Caterham was 7". But a lot of different diffs were used in Sierras... this might affect your plans... /forum/techtalk/sierra-driveshafts http://www.super7thheaven.co.uk/components/sierra_rear_differential/ Jonathan
  20. Thanks for adding the outcome and those details about the timing. Jonathan
  21. Welcome. I'd start by talking to Martin Phipps, and he'll advise on the best sources for working out what you have. /about-us/team /forum/chitchat/lotus-7-register-and-historian https://media.lotuscars.com/en/blog/andy-the-archivist.html Jonathan
