That wiggle test does sound as if you've found the problem. But do the hazard warning lights work normally? And have you changed the indicators to LEDs? Jonathan

  5. And it ran smoothly throughout this? Or did it cut out? i'd start with the battery as you're going to be relying on that for the rest of the diagnosis. If it's the appropriate type check the fluid levels and top-up if needed. What's the battery voltage: • At rest • Minimum during cranking • At 3,000 rpm? Jonathan
  6. What colours are the wires and can you photograph or sketch the connections on the switch? Do the indicators and hazard warning lights work correctly? What's the history of the car? There is a DIY modification to the circuits that removes the well-documented problems with the switch for the hazard warning lights. Could this have been applied? Jonathan

  18. It's generally recommended not to if there isn't an explicit mode for lithium batteries. But that mode is getting much more common on new chargers. Jonathan

  21. Reports of unsealed batteries arriving with leakage: minor from an unspecified supplier and major from Tayna. That's the first time that I can remember that from Tayna. Jonathan PS: Does anyone know a source of battery acid in the UK without EPP documentation?
