  8. Just replaced all my hoses for the first time. Standard K series. Only one was difficult: J hose onto thermostat housing, which of course is the most fragile of all the pipes. I think you've identified all the tricks. I think you'll probably get the end hotter and softer by putting the whole hose in the boiling water. You can try going on very straight, but what worked for me eventually was going on very angled and rocking the other side on. Is this like putting tight bike tyres onto rims: eventually you just have to believe it's going to work... ? Good luck Jonathan
  9. Try http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/category/34 The rotary indicator switch is under "Indicator" rather than "Rotary". and http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/switches/rotary.php Jonathan
  10. Just received my set from Classic Silicone Hoses. Will report back. The box included a warning about antifreeze: " ... those with organic acid anticorrosives can damage any silicone in your engine including hoses. See www.fbhvc.co.uk... " I found : http://www.fbhvc.co.uk/2010/01/27/antifreeze/ I have a K series engine using Caterham supplied coolants: has anyone ever experienced a problem of this sort with these? Thanks Jonathan

  22. While we're on brakes... can anyone help me with: Rear brake assembly Thanks Jonathan
  23. I've just had the sliding calliper body off my rear brakes for the first time. Factory standard, de Dion, 1.8 K. I'm not sure about the reassembly. I put some LocTite on the 13mm retaining bolts, tightened them as far as possible with the 15mm locking nut loose, then ran the locking nut up towards the bolt head and tightened it. Is that the right way? How tight should they be? Thanks Jonathan
