  2. Yes, see this thread and Grubbster's photo. Jonathan Edited by - Jonathan Kay on 26 Mar 2014 11:13:44
  3. There's lots on this in the archives but inevitably very few like-for-like comparisons. Mine lives on a conditioning charger and I'm very pleased with the Powervamp PVR 25. The Powervamp Clubsport 22 is cheaper. Jonathan
  4. The bottom edge of the dash... Jonathan
  5. How about this one for my preferred position: below the dash on the far side of the gearstick? That should keep the 'phone dry and beyond my near point... Jonathan
  6. Quoting Pete Underhill: I can't RMC on my stylus. I don't use a mouse very often...Could you tell us a bit more about the device and what OS and browser you're using... there might be a way... Jonathan
  7. ... do you know how to do that within your own browser? I prefer it the way it is and then control at the client end where it appears. Jonathan
  8. Thanks x2. And thanks for asking, Smiffy69. Jonathan
  9. I think the recommendation is to drain first, then look for the air gap. But is there a smarter way? AMENDED: See subsequent comments in this thread. Jonathan Edited by - Jonathan Kay on 24 Mar 2014 11:06:16
  10. Sudden total loss of power: As above. Start with feed to whatever HT set-up you have. Do you have an ignition cut-off (FIA) switch? Jonathan
  11. What did the temperature go up to? Did you do anything else at the same time as changing the thermostat? Does the fan cut in appropriately? Any evidence of leakage? I'd start by seeing what comes out of the bleed piece when you top it up again. Jonathan
  12. I'd follow advice as above: check all connections* and look for leaks. What's the expert opinion on chemical testing for exhaust getting into coolant? Jonathan * Even if they're actually silicone hoses. :-) Edited by - Jonathan Kay on 23 Mar 2014 14:24:05
  13. I only needed one from the pair I bought: could we create a secondary market? Reminds me of the story about exporting gloves to the USA... Jonathan
  14. Fascinating, thanks. I see what you mean. Nigel: Are those the same "stepped nuts" that you are discussing? Jonathan Edited by - Jonathan Kay on 23 Mar 2014 10:42:40
  15. Could you add a photo of the bits? Jonathan
  16. Thanks. If you keep the pressure vessel dry do you top up the reservoir by eye as needed? (I can't imagine any other way... ) Jonathan PS: What pressure were you were using when it blew?
  17. "Must have GSOH and own planks" :-) Jonathan
  18. We need a pushchair for our granddaughter. Must have reclining seat. (FSH and Maclaren jokes optional.) You know you'd rather have the space... Thanks Jonathan Edited by - Jonathan Kay on 22 Mar 2014 18:32:02
  19. Did you find Stu's method? Jonathan
  20. Just about to change the fluid. Always done it manually before. Please could I have recommendations on gadgets that help. I'm currently looking at a Gunson Eezibleed at £16.92. Thanks Jonathan

    Booster seat?

Possibilities: Lift the runners Deepen the seat base Put something on top. I like Jerry's idea of deepening an existing seat base. Won't slide around, will look good, and easy to revert. DIY or Oxted or Soft Bits for Sevens. It would be great if you could post some photos when it's done. Jonathan
