  2. Not with ordinary user rights. The administrators can. But you can change the contents, and if you started the thread the Subject. This can warn others not to use all but the single thread in which you'd like the responses. Jonathan
  3. I'd try a weak acid such as vinegar and abrasion. (There are lots of recommendations to use eg sodium bicarbonate to neutralize the acid afterwards but I'd use as little acid as possible, wipe it off and then wipe with isopropyl alcohol.) Jonathan

  5. From 2002: "Is the roadsport rear anti roll bar the same as the superlight? The roadsport is mounted above the de-dion and the superlight mounting is on the bottom chassis rail." Jonathan
  6. Both the earliest and the current Assembly Guide for Sigmas have it going under the diff. Jonathan
  7. "Has anyone any fitting guides for this over the top style to look at?" If anyone can suggest a model or year I'll look in the appropriate Assembly Guide. Jonathan
  8. First thoughts: 1 Does this type of speedometer have an internal battery? Please add a photo if you're not sure which type it is. 2 Where's the reset button on yours, and could it be making when it shouldn't be? Is it possible to disconnect the button to see if the problem goes away? Jonathan Speedometer Guide
  9. If that's one headlamp rather than one DRL please could you take some photos down the road to compare the old and new illumination. Thanks Jonathan
  10. Just the correct orientation of the photos. Jonathan
  11. There's a diagram here from the Assembly Guide. Can you hold yours in position and take a photo? Jonathan
  12. Nothing different that I know of between 2000 and 2001. And I've checked Andrew Revill's revised diagram. That ignition-switched feed to the radiator fan switch should work. It's fused, fuse rating is 15A, and the current to the LED DRLs will be low, Jonathan
  13. "I don't want use the old sidelight feed as I'd have to have side and rear lights on all the time." Is that still the case after the discussion above? Do you want to keep the existing front sidelights? What model of Seven, and would you like the appropriate wiring diagram? Jonathan
  14. What Ian says. Thanks for sharing it. Troy reckoned he could maybe hear the first signs of very light detonation at tip-in in the mid range, so we took a couple of degrees of ignition out in that area and at all RPM at WOT, did a power run to see what we had lost - and found we had gained! So we took another couple of degrees out and gained a tiny bit more and left it there ... more torque and safer at the same time. I smoothed out the changes in and we flashed the new map onto a pile of ECUs before they left. What's next... automated Simplex optimisation? Jonathan
  15. Picture shows fine. And the fasteners of interest will go vertically through those holes in the bracket? Jonathan
  16. Please send me the URL by Private Message. Jonathan
  17. That sound like a RIVNUT or similar. They're widely used and trusted. If you can add a photo showing the position and access there might be some alternative suggestions. Jonathan
  18. I have "TA2103" for Sigma-engined Sevens as well as the version in the Assembly Guide and the various Owner's Handbooks. 0900167 Sigma TA 2013 Chassis Harness Fuse Ident.dwg__1.pdf This is a part of a full set of electrical diagrams labelled "TA 2013". Jonathan
  19. StevehS3: please could you post your diagram. Thanks Jonathan
  20. I have a 1971 Assembly Guide for Series IV. It has notes on electrics but no diagram. Then a 1988 diagram. And a table of the "standard" British wiring colours. You're welcome to all of those. Was there a specific question? Jonathan
  21. Which fitting is this? And is it the one where you need shallow-headed bolts? Jonathan
  22. I bought one a couple of years ago from Redline. IIRC they had switches with different cut-in temperatures. But if they haven't please let us know and I'll search the archives. Jonathan
