  1. I don't know about size, but have you found Holden's? Jonathan
  2. "If I could work out how to post a photo I would post a picture of it." There are three ways of posting images: two by uploading them to this site, and one by linking to them on another site eg Dropbox. They're all described in the Forum User Guide: https://www.lotus7.club/forum/chitchat/forum-user-guide Most Members now use the shortcut upload: https://www.lotus7.club/comment/2252151#comment-2252151 That's quick and comparatively easy, but it does limit the resolution of the image. Not usually a problem for photos but can be for screen dumps, images of documents etc. The other two methods don't have that limitation. Please let me know if you need any help or want to practise. Jonathan
  3. Thanks In addition to additional brake lights and typical accessory power supplies other things that might be wired through the boot include sound systems and sidelight-switched feeds for instrument illumination. Jonathan
  4. Is it Green/Purple? (I'm on a 'phone.) That's for an additional brake light Jonathan
  5. PS: For anyone replacing the telltale with an LED, possibly as part of replacing all of the warning lights... if you have a single telltale the existing circuit won't work with that. The diode trick will fix it. Jonathan
  6. Have you considered wrapping the existing dash? Jonathan
  7. Yes: with traditional analogue resistance-to-earth systems... ... you can test the gauge by ignition ON, disconnecting the signal wire at the sender, and then watching the gauge as you touch that wire to a good earth and to nothing. ... and you can test the sender by disconnecting it and measuring its resistance when it's cold and and when it's hot. But I don't know if a new Duratec has a digital system... Jonathan
  8. It's common to need a new relay when you change to LEDs. That won't fix the problem caused by the circuit that uses a single telltale. Changing the telltale to an LED won't fix it. Jonathan
  9. Yes. I'm assuming that you have a single telltale lamp on the dash. Please say if you have two because the rest of this will be irrelevant Here's the explanation and a link to a diode kit: /comment/2419517#comment-2419517. Jonathan
  10. Are there enough dirty ends to do a comparative trial of methods? Jonathan
  11. I don't know why it's ticking and not turning over. I suggest monitoring the battery voltage at rest and the minimum as you try to crank. Jonathan
  12. Well done. When appropriate please could you add your thoughts on that battery to the Li ion batteries thread. Thanks Jonathan
  13. It's quite likely to be solved by a bit of adjustment. There are four (or more) types of speedometers and drives on Sevens: which one is yours? Guide to Speedometers. Jonathan
  14. "I don't know why the 1st two pictures are coming out upside down from my phone...": The explanation and the workaround. Jonathan
  15. Very widely used... but are you sure about that Escort 1300E? Jonathan
  16. The Speedometer Guide includes advice on fitting the new sensor. Jonathan
  17. Information on fasteners and fastener packs. And I have a large collection of Assembly Guides for different years and models. Free to Members: please send me a Private Message with your email address. Jonathan
  18. Shortcut upload: Original method upload:
  19. "Apologies for the images being a little small and blurry - not sure how I can improve them." The shortcut upload automatically reduces the resolution. It's not usually a problem for photos but it can be for text and technical images. You can avoid that by using the original upload method, starting with this tool: If you send me one of the original images I'll do it both ways so that we can see if there's a difference. Jonathan
