  1. Sorry. Should be this: http://www.lotus7.club/forum/chitchat/club-web-forum-problems?page=3 Jonathan
  2. Carriage return works for most of us (nearly everybody). Thanks Several of us seem to be having problems with this described here. Jonathan AMENDED
  3. Pictures don't work. Please could you post the raw URLs? Thanks Jonathan
  4. Usual advice: Don't delay. Your rights under the Sale of Goods Act aren't limited by their guarantee. (The law is a bit different in Scotland but AFAIK this is still true.) No threats, no accusations, just a request for them to fix or replace. Photograph the fault. Keep a contemporaneous record of all communications.Good luck Jonathan
  5. Was that new from Radtec? Have you asked them to fix or replace? Jonathan
  6. ... as do the inline images! Jonathan
  7. OK: Get them on Dropbox. Then follow these instructions. Then tell us that URL and we'll see what we can see. Jonathan
  8. Roger: Do you already use a photo hosting service? Jonathan
  9. Relevant recent discussion here. (Ignore the thread title.) Jonathan
  10. From the Avon site on the CR28 Sport: Note The Avon CR28 Sport is EXEMPT from the EU tyre labeling regulation EC1222/2009 becuase (sic), The tyre is designed to be fitted only to vehicles registered for the first time before 1 October 1990. I don't know my way round the regulations (and I'm not yet convinced about the A021 changes). Any experts out there? But my car was first registered in 1998! Jonathan
  11. Thanks, Elie. Same size as my wheels! Jonathan
  12. Thanks. I've been reading about swirl pots, but I don't know anything about this engine. What's the relative height of the expansion tank, the outlet from the radiator and the highest vent on the radiator? Where is the air coming from that is going to be extracted in the swirl pot? The maximum temperature observed is 104° C and with the right coolant that's well below the boiling point. (I'm also generally dubious about there being "hot spots" causing local boiling within modern engines.) And it looks as if the head gasket hasn't failed so excess pressure from that isn't likely. But if it isn't possible to get an expansion tank and associated bits to stop leaking then I do understand that not having one would help! Jonathan
  13. I wouldn't do it unless I had that same statement from the DVLA and knew that the insurer was happy. Jonathan
  14. Let's separate the discharge of coolant from the operating temperature. What temperature should this engine run at on the track? The radiator is the C400 race version, so it is upgraded from the standard one. I don't know anything about these: can someone confirm that it should be adequate? Don't know what coolant is in there as It was replaced before I bought it. I'd replace it immediately with something that I knew to be appropriate. Jonathan
  15. ... a swirlpot in the top hose to replace the expansion tank... What's the idea behind that? Thanks Jonathan
  16. As above. But it does seem to depend on the power and does cool down quickly... what sort of radiator is it and how do you know it's up to the job? What sort of oil cooling do you have? What coolant are you using? Jonathan
  17. So we can have the discussion about Italian energy companies? Jonathan
  18. "Bouncing is what Tiggers do best." :-) Jonathan
  19. I've written to Yokohama and Polley Motorsport to ask. Jonathan PS: What's the second best option for a 7 with 14" wheels when being safe on wet roads is the most important objective? Thanks.
  20. From that linked article: The registration paperwork was sent off to the DVLA on the 6th or 7th of May, which would mean it's been with them for around two weeks now... I spoke to them (the DVLA) a few days ago and it transpires that as I already have a number plate - R500 WOT (WOT=wide open throttle) that provided I can prove the documentation was delivered to the DVLA by way of signed for recorded delivery from Royal Mail I'd actually have a 14 day grace period to use the vehicle WITHOUT the need for a V5 or tax disc, however, if the paperwork isn't back with me after the 14 day grace period expires I'd have to stop using the vehicle. The point I'm trying to make is that any future builders that don't want to wait to drive their cars once the IVA has been approved, should purchase a private plate in advance and then can use their cars as soon as they can prove the documentation has been received by the DVLA - amazing, but true! Are you in exactly the same position? Jonathan
  21. Are less sensitive intertia switches available? Jonathan
