  1. Comments from experts on load levellers, please. (I've only done this once. With two people and the car jacked up it went fine without one.) Thanks. Jonathan
  2. Could be lots of things but I’d start with the sensor. Does the light come on fully when you short the sensor? Does the light come on fully when you pretend there’s no fluid? Swap another cap/ sensor in and see what happens.Do you have a multimeter? Jonathan
  3. Ask if anyone will lend them ± donation to NtL. Jonathan
  4. I asked Polley Motorsport and Yokohama UK and got quick and helpful answers, respectively: The AO21R will still be legal for use after 2015 if you already have them, what I mean by this is current stock and any tyres you have will still be road legal but new stock from Japan will be rebranded for competition use only. After 1st November 2014 the current A021R range will not meet the latest EU legislation regulation requirements [R117], however it is still ok to supply the tyres if the production date is before 01/11/14. The tyres will also still be ok to use on normal roads. Production of A021R after 01/11/14 will be in a modified form, with different sidewall markings and will be supplied only for racing/competition use.I then asked Yokohama if they could tell me which part of R117 caused the problem but haven't heard back. 5. If you want to clean it up you could make it into a bulletted or numbered list. Jonathan
  6. Is there a way to link to an inline image? Thanks. Jonathan
  7. New emails of followed threads now don't link in my mail program as a single conversation (Mail.app, OS X.) This is a nuisance. They used to before the transition. Is the difference that the Subject now changes where it used to be the same? I can see the counterargument. Do others feel the same? I miss BlatMail. Discussed in another thread. I don't mind if others want to use in-server private mail but I'd like the old functionality back as well. The first line of the content of email is partially duplicated. The ability to stop following a thread from the email is great. The ability to stop following a thread from the forum without finding the triggering post is great. I'm not sure if the option within the forum pages to follow a whole thread or only replies to an individual post is worthwhile. If it is I'd prefer the default to be the other way: follow the whole thread.Thanks. Jonathan
  8. Suggestions: All navigation elements should be at both the top and bottom of the table of threads. This currently varies between threads and there are some with page nav at the bottom but not the top. Move Search to the top bar as in "Log in". It's needed from everywhere and it would save vertical space. Reduce the number of different font sizes and styles. The white on blue bar is elegant. The top white on red is too small. The name of the forum in the furthest R column in the table of threads is too small and faint. Then see if it's possible to tighten the vertical spacing in the table to make more threads visible at once. Centre thread column titles. Make the Home> Blatchat> line totally navigable and granular down to the current area. (This may have been recently fixed.) Halve its width allowing the three tabs to come up alongide on the R. ACTIVE FORUM TOPICS is too big and too shouty in all caps. And would it be better if it said BlatChat or whatever. The current filters are already shown in the tabs below (but see previous post about what the tabs mean.) At the bottom there is a misaligned box overlapping the red bar. Remove all the information in the blue bar at the bottom. It's available elsewhere and it's variable whether it's visible or not because of vertical page size and scrolling. Then check it can all be found from the top banners. Remove the upper red bar at the bottom. That information is already at the top in the logo. Move the social media buttons to the top only or both at the top and bottom. Put all the info in the bottom red bar in a single line. The white on grey buttons on posts eg edit are variably capitalised. And breathe. Thanks. Jonathan
  9. Typical top of forum page Typical bottom of forum pageJonathan (I don't know how to link to single inline images in iCloud Photostreams.)
  10. Thanks for all the improvements. I think my priorities are: Paragraph spacing. Allowing links to be made either URL or text first. At present if you go URL first it only links to the first letter of the text. Easier navigation through the fora. Filtered searching. Supporting quotes. Allowing my client-side spelling checker to work. (OS X Safari.)Jonathan
  11. Agreed. I don't understand the three tabs: "Active", "Unanswered", "New and updated". I think it doesn't show your own posts in these views because it thinks you must have seen them, I'd prefer it if it did. The little "New" and "Updated" tags should match in style but differing in colour is nice. The navigation bar that now goes Home>Blatchat is good.Jonathan
  12. Thanks. That's over halfway to ordering the next batch. Jonathan
  13. Thanks for asking Radtec, Roger. As we thought. It is very confusing. I think that's because of the combination of commercial interests and the required experiments taking so long to do. For other reasons 7s tend to run for few hours but have their coolant changed frequently so it isn't as much of a problem as with other vehicles. As with oil. And that's without bringing waterless coolant into it!Jonathan
  14. I've got 2010 and 2012. Before that I have 2004 but that's K only. Send me your email in a private message if you'd like them. Jonathan
  15. I've got the 2010 and 2012 Assembly Guides which have wiring diagrams. Send me a private message with your email address if you'd like them. Jonathan
  16. I'd check the connections and wiring of all the sensors. Can you reproduce the fault while it's in the garage? How do you reset the TPS on this model?Jonathan
  17. MFRU: Multi Function Relay Unit (although if unreliable other options for the first two letters are available). I'm not sure how it works on your car but somewhere there's a relay that feeds the solenoid. When you've done the simple bits there's a direct diagnostic test of running a new jump wire direct from the battery to the solenoid. You're not at this point yet, but here's the fix from Alcester Racing Sevens.Jonathan
  18. I don't agree that a noise or any other nuisance should continue simply because it has been there in the past. Whoever regulates the balance between some people's pleasure or work or income and other people's annoyance needs to find a solution for the future. That free entry sounds like a smart idea for breaking down barriers or even as something approaching compensation. Do the organisers and participants do other things to promote communication and understanding and tell the Council how much pleasure the events bring? Jonathan
  19. ... apparently this contains OAT ( organic acid technology) and damages the Radtec ali rads... Thanks, Roger: I look forward to reading the answer. I'd put a glossy animated emoticon for "I'm sceptical about that" here if there was one. And I used them.Jonathan
  20. How do mine look to you, Shaun? Is there a possible user setting on the server that is different for different users of the same browser and OS? Jonathan
  21. Tried both those links... "Sorry, something went wrong". Do they include voltages on cranking?Jonathan
  22. All with Safari, OS X. Jonathan
  23. Same again with rich-text disabled. Jonathan
  24. Mine looked fine as I was composing, then doesn't when it's submitted and displayed. Jonathan
