  1. Yes... hoping that an expert will be along in a minute with the specs, and advice on whether a fuse or relay should be used, added or moved. If it's permanently wired both ways is there any problem with road legality and the MoT? My first thought is that it's OK but it's worth a moment's thought. Jonathan
  2. Thanks. Is that plate sealing anything or only keeping muck out? Caterham parts, £13.86, out of stock. Jonathan
  3. Do you want to actively switch it between road and track modes, or have it so that it always works whichever circuit is activated? Jonathan
  4. Without a doubt, the best 'free' mod I ever did was to remove the redundant engine mount bracket from the front of my K Series engine, and blank the hole in the timing cover with some spare alloy sheet. I've seen that mentioned a couple of times. Are there any details available? Thanks Jonathan

    Spotted? ;-) Jonathan
  6. Which engine and ECU? Jonathan
  7. Do you know about the different types and DVA's recommendations? Jonathan
  8. Can you add photos of all four? And what pressure are they at? Jonathan
  9. "Mine": Excellent. :-) Jonathan PS: The best I could do was suggest it was a plumb line rather than a torque curve...
  10. I don't know. But my original factory rubber hose that is 24.2mm od is 16mm id. Jonathan

  12. I don't know about 270Ss, but there's an excellent introduction to 7 brakes from Alcester Racing 7s. Jonathan
  13. Well done. I think I've seen an explanation somewhere of the "number of cylinders", wasted spark set-up etc... Jonathan
  14. I've often wondered if the term "corner weighting" causes confusion. Would it be better if we said something like "load distribution"? Jonathan
  15. I've always assumed it was a rotary pulse generator, as on rear wheels and bikes. Replacement options. Check the feed and earth directly, and continuity on the signal return. Jonathan PS: Does anyone know if there's a clearance adjustment on these?
  16. There's a recent thread with both bolt-on lumps with holes and comments on flashing. Jonathan
  17. Are you committed to that engineer? It sounds to me as if you might be better off with someone who is playing with 7s day-in day-out... Jonathan
  18. Who is going to discuss the access with the factory? Jonathan
  19. Send me a Private Mail with your email address, and I'll send you a copy of the Assembly Guide. On the fluids: Not a rebuild requiring running-in? Road and occasional trackdays?Jonathan
  20. I don't do any regular servicing on mine. There are seal kits available and I'd be prepared to try that. (£40 for full service sounds reasonable if you like the one you've got.) Lots of options in the archives: what weight do you want to lift and do you want a lightweight model? Jonathan
