  1. The kilogram is a unit of mass. The psi is a unit of pressure. They can't be converted. 1 bar is about 14.5 psi. What's the problem that you're trying to solve? Jonathan
  2. Well done. Thanks for adding the solution. Jonathan PS: And for providing the opportunity to pursue my continuing amateur development!
  3. "Seem to remember it being a Cambridge rather than a Westminster though" Yes: A60 Cambridge. I'm impressed. Jonathan
  4. It looks like an electrical fault. And that it isn't affecting other instruments. Do you have a multimeter and would you like the appropriate wiring diagram? Any recent work on it? Jonathan
  5. "Any recommendations for an indoor car cover?" From 2022: /forum/techtalk/indoor-garage-soft-cover Full search: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site:caterhamlotus7.club+indoor+cover NB Club discounts. Jonathan
  6. Battery storage calculation as above. Which leaves the source of the energy... solar panels, fossil fuel generator (exhausting to outside), carrying the batteries to a mains supply (with or without a trolley)... Or run a mains supply to the garage. There's lots of useful discussion of these in the archives. Jonathan
  7. I think that the important information has already been posted upthread. but: "I did try a search of the forums but the search facility appears to be down." Try: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site:caterhamlotus7.club+ball+joint+splitter And "Search Facility". Jonathan
  8. Let's try and track down the Sevens to which this refers. How about: 1 Clipping and posting that bit of the bit of the Assembly Guide, including the section number. 2 Emailing me a copy of the Assembly Guide. Jonathan
  9. There's a Minno here, but I can't remember if they will take SVs. Jonathan
  10. There are at least three layouts of fuses and relays on Sigma-engined Sevens. At least one of which has never been spotted in an Assembly Guide. Jonathan PS: This thread has tracked down what's happening with those engine cut-outs furher than ever before. Thanks, all.
  11. Lots of options discussed in the archives. I suggest starting here. Would you consider some sort of cocoon? Jonathan
  12. For those "MG" and similar prototypes I recommend the wonderful AROnline website. Jonathan
  13. There have been several reports of problems with the speedometer wiring stopping the engine. I've never been totally convinced that it was only blowing fuses. There is a Factory Notice about modification to the wiring. Jonathan
  14. The previous thread? Jonathan
  15. That's an electronic speedometer. You can disconnect it at the instrument or at the sender. Before disconnecting at the instrument I'd check the wiring diagram to see what else is connected there. Let me know if you'd like a copy. Jonathan
  16. Yes. What type is it? Mechanical or electronic? And if electronic driven from the gearbox, wheel or driveshaft? Jonathan
  17. "Being able to rev the engine would fit with your symptoms, as the ECU would then be dropping into open loop and ignoring the lambda input." While it's fresh in everyone's mind... from the engine's point of view what are the differences between being revved while stationary and being revved while the car is moving and being revved while powering the car? Thanks Jonathan
  18. Thanks With the car stationary and the engine hot how is the engine running? Is the power coming and going in the same way? Jonathan
