  1. I’d start by talking to Redline. Jonathan
  2. Thanks I ran that again, no inverted commas and then the phrase option. The first time it gave two hits but not the one we want. The second time it gave four hits and the fourth was the one we want, as in your screenshot Jonathan
  3. I've tried to replicate this. I don't get that third hit. Did you include the inverted commas in the emboldened string in the actual search term? Thanks Jonathan
  4. I've just run a comparison of the built-in search facility of the new site with an external search engine using site restriction. With the former I can't find your original post either. With the latter it come up top. Jonathan
  5. Discussion from 2018. Full search of the archives. Club discount with Flame Barrier. Jonathan
  6. Running thread on non-lithium batteries, with specs and experiences. Running thread on lithium batteries, ditto. Jonathan
  7. I guess the trolley wheels and handle are supposed to help there, but you do wonder about door thresholds and stairs. Found it... each battery is 41 kg. https://www.silence.eco/en/silence-products/electric-car-s04-nanocar/#model-2 Jonathan
  8. *Most of the alternative lightweight batteries used in Sevens are AGM rather than gel. Jonathan * Unless there's been a sudden uptake of lithium batteries.
  9. Two background questions before we get to the gauge: Does the Seven have a modern alternator with built-in regulation, or an older system requiring external regulation, as described by Andrew? Where was the fuel pump before and where will it be eventually? Is it already wired separately from the wires that you are describing and is it working? Thanks Jonathan
  10. I did that in Preview on a Mac. Similar programs are available on other platforms, but I don't know how to do it on iOS.... Jonathan
  11. I'm trying to collect the factory documentation for the 160 and 170 in order to make it available to other Members. If you have or know of any please could you have a look at this thread. Thanks Jonathan
  12. Honest John's list of suppliers. Jonathan
  13. Recent comparison of a Ring with a Makita pump. Do you want something that lives in the Seven/ other vehicle, or stays in the garage? How about a combined lithium battery jump starter and inflator? Jonathan
  14. NB Club discount, including repairs IIRC. Jonathan
  15. Yes. There have been production road cars which are over-geared and have a higher maximum speed in the gear below top. Jonathan
  16. It will reduce acceleration within a particular gear, other things being equal. But changing the final drive ratio affects the overall gearing all of the gears, so it might bring a more appropriate gear into play. Using a gear calculator lets you play with these comparisons and with shift points etc. Jonathan
  17. Yes. By lower I meant smaller numerically. Sorry If I caused confusion. Jonathan
  18. The lower the final drive ratio the lower the engine speed, all else being equal. I recommend using one of the online calculators to see how the numbers play out with your gearbox and tyre size. Jonathan
  19. Phenomenal Cat ; - ) Jonathan
  20. Thanks for adding the answer. So French as in metalworking Frenching... ? Jonathan
  21. What's the URL that you're using to start the log-in? Thanks Jonathan
  22. Caterham have often produced models for specific markets, sometimes driven by emission standards. It might be for the French/ EU Duratec 340: https://caterhamcars.com/at/news-eu/introducing-the-new-seven-340-for-europe https://caterhamcars.com/fr/nos-modèles/la-gamme/seven-340 Jonathan
