  1. Yes. I'd start by seeing what the gauge shows when the connection to the sensor is open circuit and short circuit. And measuring the resistance across the disconnected sensor when the engine is cold and hot. Jonathan PS: There seem to be a lot more reports of 7s not getting up to expected temperature than used to be the case...
  2. The reading goes up and down sensibly and consistently... but seems too low? The complication being the car has JPE yellow faced dials... I'm not familiar with those... are they analogue dials? Can you add a photo? Jonathan PS: Sensors need to match gauges, but most sensors seem to be available, and if not there may be a bit of resistance trickery that would help. Internal faults in analogue dials can probably be rectified by eg John Ostick.
  3. What failed... that link or sales@pipercams.co.uk as an email address? Jonathan
  4. There was one on the old blatchat site - not sure if the checklist migrated over?? Is that Shaun's schedule or something else? Service Schedule list is also available in the Owners Handbook, which can be downloaded from the CC website as a PDF. I have many (? all) of the old versions of the Assembly Guides and Handbooks: just ask. Jonathan

  9. Hi folks, bedt you go to classic car leds in Bristol. Find them on the web. Look for the headlight bulbs h4 Led ones. Listed under the caterham section. Been using for 6 months. Best money i ever spent. Which ones did you buy, please? Thanks Jonathan
  10. Have you tried dosing the bolt with lots of WD40 and leaving to soak so that it penetrates down into the thread (not easy with the wing in place). Then using a a mole wrench try to pull the bolt head outward whist turning anti clockwise. You will need to push the skin around the rivnut inward at the same time to encourage some compression bite. An extra pair of hands might just bring some luck. I was wondering about getting some bite by angling. But ordinary WD-40 isn't a very good penetrating oil: how about PlusGas or similar? Jonathan
  11. These are really nice pieces, but we can't get them into our kitchen. They're in South Oxfordshire. Who's next? Jonathan
  12. Thanks for all that work and including the detail: it still looks as if the products haven't settled down. Jonathan PS: The start of the first URL is duff. PPS: " If there were no other road users... " :-)

  16. Let us know when you've identified the current system (mechanical from the gearbox, electronic from the wheel, electronic from the gearbox, something else) and what you'd like to end up with. There are some recommended modifications to the wiring. Jonathan
