  1. Previous discussion. Jonathan
  2. Thanks Jonathan PS: My notes on the changes included why Chat shouldn't be there.
  3. Haven't heard that noted before. It would be helpful to know: Which browser and OS? Does it happen with a different browser? Thanks Jonathan
  4. That's the gauges, not the warning lights? Mine are original from 1998 and are white. If you're changing how about LEDs? (I have seen it suggested that the removal of the waste heat from incandescant lamps may increase misting!) Jonathan
  5. Do you need any more on this, Andrew? Please check your emails. Jonathan
  6. Discussion: "VVC Conversion" Guide: "Adding VVC to an EU3 K Series Engine Wiring Loom"But: How similar are different VVC donor engines? "Seems a good way of going from 135 to 160!" I think you might be about to get suggestions exploring other tuning options...Jonathan
  7. Sorry, I hate this new format - the formatting just doesn't work As you've probably just spotted there's a recent problem with formatting in original posts. And you've used the best known workaround: replying and formatting within that reply. Jonathan
  8. ... clean inside of them with acetone (nail varnish remover). Most over the counter nail varnish remover isn't acetone nowadays. Does it help to use something as aggressive as acetone rather than eg isopropanol? Jonathan
  9. Start by "sawing" with dental floss or monofilament nylon and see if that works. Previous discussion, with comments on heat and solvents. Jonathan
  10. I don’t have the car with me to get pics at the moment then I probably wouldn’t know how to upload them. Ian B's excellent Forum User Guide. Jonathan
  11. I’d like to drop the front a bit for track days then raise it back for clearance on the road. What's your current clearance under the sump and rake? ... correct tool for the collars? Which shock absorbers? Add a photo if you're not sure. Jonathan
  12. Andrew suffered multiple posts while entering this and noticed something that's probably related: they anomalously appeared in his own view of "New and Updated". My guess on why this happens is in one of his threads. Jonathan
  13. I think that the second thread returned by this search has what you need: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site:lotus7.club+valve+clearances+xflow. Jonathan
  14. I think I may need to just do a full "start again" as the right wing seems perfectly fine. I wouldn't assume that the other one is secure. I'd redo both, including: Preparation to bare metal. The preferred Sikaflex adhesive. Keeping the temperature within the recommended range for the recommended time. A full sausage roll.Jonathan
  15. Have you got the part numbers of the current senders? Failing that could you measure the resistance of both when hot? Jonathan
  16. You should have seen it before I cleaned it up! :-) Jonathan
  17. From the 2002 Handbook: Jonathan
  18. Please send me a Private Mail with details of the 7 (model, year, engine, dash) and your email address, and I'll try and find the appropriate Assembly Guide and Owner's Handbook. Jonathan
  19. I think so, but I don't know the plan... Jonathan
  20. "56 miles from RG14 5XF" Ian: Was that caused by the new indistinct indication of a hyperlink? Thanks Jonathan
  21. Please could you post the pdf: they show as inline images. Thanks Jonathan
  22. Matt: Did you spot #32... that might have crossed with your #33. Jonathan
