  1. ... so how does one secure it there as there doesn't appear to be any fixing points? Not sure this is appropriate for yours or up to date, but some tunnel covers sit there nicely and some are happier with a self-tapping screw each side in the rear bottom corner. Edited: This doesn't seem to be mentioned in the 2000 de Dion K Assembly Guide. Jonathan
  2. Procedure for my 1800 K after the rebuild. Jonathan
  3. Nobutseriously... how about declutching when it won't quite roll on that slight incline and seeing if it then does? Jonathan PS: All well here, thanks. Third performance of Galileo tonight, tickets still available but not that many!
  4. Double declutching! ;-) Jonathan
  5. Rears have much more resistance, but put this down to LSD/gearbox resistance... You could explore this a bit both on stands and on the road by declutching. Jonathan
  6. There's a draft version of a new inspection manual from 3 April 2018. It includes a table of changes. (But doesn't seem to be mentioned on the update page of the the IVA site.) Have you asked the factory? I think there's an association of self-build companies, but I can never remember the name. We recently discussed the possible changes to the rules around dates for emission testing, but this seems too soon after the start of the consultation period. Jonathan PS: MOT rule changes: 20 May 2018.
  7. Have you asked Caterham? There's a widely recommended independent supplier with a catchy name... which I can't remember. Might be in Honest John's list. Jonathan
  8. I downloaded the assembly manual but there isn't much on it [p164 ish] Have you found the wiring colour from the diagram? Jonathan
  9. Please add your request to the Bulk Buys thread if it isn't there already. When there are enough I'll get the next quote from China. No need to apologise. :-) Jonathan
  10. More requests are still needed for the next batch of storage canisters (tool tubes) and fitted bags. Jonathan
  11. I don't carry a spare/ cheap 'phone but I do carry a 'phone charger with a "cigar lighter" plug. That runs and charges the 'phone in the 7 on the road (and its my satnav anyway), if it fails, and in anyone else's vehicles. For touring there would always be a local mains charger somewhere in the luggage as well. All of the relevant documents will be stored on that 'phone as well as online: insurance, medical insurance, itinerary etc. usually both in TripIt and as pdfs. And BlatChat is on the home screen. :-) Jonathan
  12. i think that each of the components (pedal, cable, throttle) can get sticky and you need to look and disconnect until you've worked out which it is. There's a known specific problem with some throttle bodies sticking because something is overtightened but I can't remember which are affected or the details: check the *archives or wait for an expert... Jonathan * ± "' :-)
  13. These might be the right instructions, but I don't know if they're current. Does your 7 already have a horn relay? (Let me know if you need the appropriate diagram.) Jonathan
  14. Previous discussion. Can anyone tell me if I will need a relay or not ? Which model, and do you know the current rating? Would not have a clue how to fit one ! Not too hard, and you will afterwards. :-) Do you have a multimeter? Jonathan PS: That's "PIAA"... might help when searching.
  15. Thanks Best car headlight bulbs: 2018 group test I can see the text with the overall score, 11 pictures of the bulbs and packaging... but no details of the test or pictures of the performance... am I missing something? Jonathan
  16. Where are you? Sure about the size? Local motor parts shop? Amazon UK from someone who offers next day delivery? Local hydraulic pipe company? (Can't see one on the Halfords web site.) Jonathan
  17. Do we get photos? :-) Jonathan
  18. OK it didn't link, most forums allow you to preview but this one does not appear to? Forum User Guide. For those imgur images I loaded the page from your URL, then loaded just the image in a new tab, then got that URL. I think that it's now possible to display single images (but not galleries or videos) from every commercial service... Jonathan
  19. You can simply reach behind the gauge, find the bulb bolder and withdraw while the gauge is in-situ to check which you have. Agreed Jonathan
  20. I don't have anything as detailed as those, only the connector identification from the Caterham wiring diagram. Jonathan
  21. I do now. :-) Please send me your email address with as much detail about the car as possible: engine, ECU, year, dash... Jonathan
  22. The manual has different diagrams for the cooling system between fuel-injected and carburetted Vauxhall engines. And the submarine pipes are different. Jonathan
