1. Equipment Register. Jonathan PS: I'd search for that by clicking the second link in my Signature and adding equipment register. PPS: Have you found the Club Discount at Halfords?
2. Couldn't get the plug out because there was no way to wind it out before it hit the tunnel let alone getting a syphon tube in. That's unusual. There's usually room to get the plug out even without making it easier with a hole in the tunnel. AFAIK the smallest possible tool is a cut down section of hex section in a *ratchet ring wrench. Is there something different about Sevens before my 1998 on which there is enough room? Thanks Jonathan * But do make sure that it's the right type of ratchet...

Note to self

It's well-formed and recorded from 1705. But very rare. Works for me. Jonathan
4. Probably controversial but I'd replace everything with stainless steel What specification would you suggest for safety-critical bits such as suspension and steering? Jonathan
5. Have you found the bolt list and fastener packs? Jonathan
6. And if you do decide to suck it out it will be a lot easier with warm oil. Jonathan
7. I would top up with oil that meets the specification recommended by Caterham. - during filling, and in order to get as much oil in, should I jack the car from the front or the rear please? Neither. Maintenance notes from Alcester Racing Sevens. Jonathan
8. Can you hear the fuel pump when you switch the ignition on? What's the battery voltage at rest and as you try to start? Jonathan
9. Reset procedure for the Rover immobiliser. Jonathan
10. I'd put a new battery in the fob, as above, then carry out the reset procedure: have you got the documentation for that? Jonathan
11. As Ian and John say. You've got 2 USB sockets there each offering 2.1 A. That's smart for the future and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go for less. There has been a problem with electrical noise from that type of USB device affecting an intercom. If you're considering that then check asap. Jonathan
12. Please can you add a photo of your key fob so that we can determine the type. I recently changed battery alternator new belts cam and alt belt... Same terminals on the new alternator as the old one? What's the battery voltage at rest, minimum during cranking and at 4,000 rpm? I suggest checking all of the relevant wires and connections: back in place and snug? Jonathan
13. ... somewhere there myst be a manual for this model but i cant find it anywhere. Try your mailbox! :-) Jonathan
14. Nose and Bonnet Rack Bulk Buy I don't think that it includes a spec but it does give lots of contacts who might help. Jonathan
15. Navigating that way you'd need to go Guides... Maintenance... Equipment for Loan Register. Jonathan PS: I'm not advocating working down through that tree or supporting the current categorisation. I'd go straight to an external search as in my Signature below.
16. It's a Guide: Equipment for Loan Register. Jonathan
17. Not sure how I would do the configuration of the pulses per mile from the gearbox output. You don’t need an accurate initial setting. Set it to anything and then measure the displayed speed and the true speed (easiest by GPS) and then adjust the setting accordingly. Jonathan
18. Is that using a new wheel sensor? Have you considered fitting an electronic drive from the gearbox? That would be easier to fit and wouldn't leave the hole. Burton Power Ford electronic speedo sensor REVFSS + Revotec electronic speedo adaptor: Ford gearbox REVT9-A should work. If you want to plug up the hole you could get a blank disc the same diameter and thickness as the original fitting and use the original circlip. It has been suggested that a 2p piece might fit. Which would be considerably cheaper than this dedicated blanking assembly. Jonathan
19. Welcome. Couldn’t decide if this was chit-chat or technical but as I am in build I went with the latter. Good call. That hyperlink is: orange310.co.uk On my iPhone using a 'phone network that takes me to the ISP's security splash page. On the same iPhone or a MacBook using ADSL at home it works fine. This has cropped up before but I don't think I ever saw an explanation. Jonathan
