    Thanks, everybody. I think that we've got a pretty good picture (!) of what's happening. I played with Chrome on macOS but couldn't find a setting that made it work.I used a well-known search engine and found other reports, but no solution. That included the official support site for Chrome.I'm going to try not to use pdfs in this way when there's an alternative.Jonathan

In addition to the list for ordinary cars: Handbrake adjustment just before.Hot recently-applied brakes.Hot exhaust catalyst.My rear high intensity light only works on dipped beam, but I don't know if that's the case for new Sevens.Make sure the bonnet is put somewhere safe, and not stood on end when it's windy...I'm allowed to sit in mine on the lift. And I have the propshaft joints greased while it's up there. Jonathan

    Glad you're up and running. I didn't expect perfection, but I do feel that the list of things which were faulty was quite excessive. You're not alone! ... something wrong with the handbrake not applying equal pressure. Current discussion. Jonathan

Andrew: have you noticed that on other sites?The original observation of the problem was with Edge on Windows 10.That was followed by "I've tried internet explorer and all I get is a box with a cross through it ( more than edge shows!), so we tried a mobile phone and get a small box that we cannot open up to show the pdf's."There's one reference to it in the archives: "That's because it's not an image - it's a PDF, and most browsers don't support embedded PDFs using <img> tags."     Can you see the images in posts #2 and #6? Please can you answer with the browser and OS that you are using. Thanks Jonathan PS: My guess is that all browsers can show them inline, but some need a bit of configuration.

    There's a reference to a similar problem with a possible explanation. Could you try some other browsers and see if the pdfs show inline? Jonathan

    . and having scanned the page from my build manual I appear unable to post a pdf.. Your pdfs show up fine in #6. my computer is not displaying the picture that you have posted in #2.. What browser and OS are you using, please? Jonathan
