    I don't think anyone has yet written an article comparing LSDs (or other devices aiming for ea similar effect) from the driving seat. But there are some strongly held (o)pinions. What's the feasibility of some back to back testing, preferably blinded? Jonathan

    IIRC You unscrew the track rod (using the flats) from the track rod end. how do you get the thin end of the boot on ? ... a piece of tape where it first makes contact to ease the slide, warming the boot, lubricant (although I'd use silicone rather than grease or WD-40), determination...     Same here. There's some discussion in the archives, I'll dig it out later. It includes one report of staining. My Seven has Comma G30 and Classic Silicone hoses, and I'd do the same again. Jonathan PS: Members are happy with all three major suppliers of silicone hoses. NB Club discounts.

    The NY wire appears to go to Pin 25 of the ECU which is a 'Programmable I/O Pin'. Which ECU and engine? There's some very clever detective work in the archives... Jonathan

    I'd assumed that the open circle was identifying the physical layout of the connector (cf the one to its left above) rather than an electrical way. But I don't know. Could you have a look at the car and see if the connectors are different? A 'phone with a camera might be a convenient tool. Jonathan

    That's Green and Brown/Yellow. Brown/Yellow is usually "Alternator to "no charge" warning light". Green is usually "Accessories fused via ignition switch". So it's probably the dash end of that wire from the loom. Jonathan PS: "`Standard colours".

    - and by all reports neither does Chrome. Clearly Apple have implemented this (and perhaps some Linux distributions?), but these represent a small fraction of the total browser market, so no commercial website will ever use it. In case anyone's wondering how that squares with Tony's observation: Chrome and Firefox on iPad can see both. it's possibly because on iOS those (and possibly all other browsers) use WebKit.
