  1. I find it very hard to know what to look for when the documents don't say "CSR 260" precisely. From the 2016 Handbook: Does that match? Jonathan PS: If you'd like the Assembly Guide and Handbook, please send me a Private Message with your email address and details of the Seven. But Steve's site as linked in #2 above probably has more than I do.
  2. I’ll have a look for the layout when I get home. And it’s probably in http://www.sjmmarsh.f2s.com/7documents.htm. Jonathan
  3. Morning. There's quite a lot in the archives on this for various wheel and suspension combinations, and how to get round it. Let us know if you can't find it. Any witness marks on adjacent bits with low clearance? What was the drama? :-) ... it's made no difference to the balance? I don't know what I'd do if I'd been through the full range of speeds and couldn't detect any problems... Jonathan
  4. Second link in my signature! :-) Jonathan
  5. Probably: Body Hood frameJonathan
  6. Came with the callipers and were originally intended for production line installation? Jonathan
  7. Thanks for the answers. And, as always, a reminder to others with foam in there. Jonathan
  8. Me too. And that's the type I recommend for Sevens... unless you want a lithium battery. Jonathan
  9. Any chance of listening with a stethoscope before you start the surgery? Jonathan
  10. Me too, but then they invented smart 'phones! Jonathan PS: For Sevens that don't already have a socket my current recommendation is to fit a unit with a cigar lighter socket, two 2.1 A USB charging ports... and a digital voltmeter. Jonathan
  11. You just need to confirm the point that Ian made... that the socket is connected to the battery when the key is out! :-) That Banner battery isn't sealed: check the level of fluid in the cells every so often. Jonathan
  12. Yes, lots of us use smart conditioning chargers and a cigar lighter socket. What type of battery? And do you have a battery master switch? Jonathan
  13. Well done. "Kemira 80850" gives this letter from the California Caterham Club resources describing the "Caterham Seven SV History and Specifications", which contains: EMISSIONS • Catalytic ConverterKemira 80850 9909501 Jonathan
  14. Thanks. There must be more experiences out there with lithium batteries in Sevens... Jonathan
  15. eBay discount at Tayna, ends 11:59pm UK local time on 21st November 2019. ... (And lots of other sellers, thanks for the heads-up.) Tanya
  16. You're not alone. Multiple reports in the archives of this being difficult. And I don't think that there's a magic trick beyond "... may need pliers". But then sometimes knowing that you're not missing anything helps in keeping trying... ... Are the new identical to the old? Jonathan
  17. Thanks for the answer. Glad it's fixed. I didn't comment because I'm painfully aware of my historic inability to tell which wheel is out. Jonathan (Wish I had a 3 Series Touring)
  18. I'd probably start with tyres and tyre availability and legality. And for road use I'd put grip in the wet well ahead of just about anything else, including longevity and cost. With that priority I suspect that there is a favourite out there and that the information is already in the archives but it's all over the place. Anyone fancy writing a Guide, or is there a Low Flying article that I've missed? Jonathan (14" and end of line A 021Rs)
  19. Have you decided which tyres you'd like to use? Jonathan
  20. Sorry for my ignorance but what would happen if I joined the two wires together and earthed the bulb? Whichever side you switch on they'll both illuminate. Jonathan
