  1. Thanks for taking this on. Would it be a good idea to put "Bulk Buy" in the Subject in order to catch Members' attention? Jonathan
  2. That is weird. As you've already tried logging out and in I'd try cycling some settings that might be account specific, including text preferences. Jonathan
  3. When we started work on the wikis last year it was agreed that the current Guides should be developed to implement them, rather than creating a new category. Shaun did the work that allows that. So the big difference is their support for multiple authorship. And that approach means that the change can be gradual. Jonathan
  4. Let us know if you want any help in debugging that. Jonathan
  5. I've been caught out with advice meant for a different derivative - wiki just needs to define age, make, model etc. Definitely. And that's why we need to both consolidate the information and implement multi-authoring: that knowledge about different versions, requirements and special cases is scattered across multiple Members' minds. Jonathan
  6. Is this relevant to your Seven? To mount the crotch strap you can either use the lower side mounts (so its really a 4 point and is somewhat frowned upon) or drill out the small holes on the two old type seat mounting points at the base of the seat area. Jonathan
  7. Ah... got it. Thanks Jonathan
  8. ... and bought a set of Scrhroth ASM 4 points... Why those rather than the Schroth Caterham set? Jonathan
  9. I couldn't find an adhesive pad that worked so, on the advice in a previous discussion, now use a Summit suction mirror. NB different sizes. Unlike toy arrows/ Dalek forehead adaptors these have a lever that creates the suction It's worked well for four years but now the lever doesn't bite properly anymore. Jonathan
  10. Dim the main beam warning light.Put off the decision about better headlamps, again.Fit the new A frame with the new bushes.Jonathan PS: In case anyone hasn't found them: Suggested servicing schedules.Maintenance notes from Alcester Racing Sevens.
  11. Do you still get the sigmoid transfer function with that explanation? Jonathan
  12. How did you find those old discussions ? I can't find any of the older ones. The site has two search methods: the one you can see at the top right of this page and a page with Google searching. I use neither, but do a direct search with an external search engine and site restriction (that's the site:lotus7.club bit). The ones in #2 above used DuckDuckGo but apparently other search engines are available. :-) You can then refine the search using the normal tools. The second link in my Signature below fires this off ready to add search terms. Have a play with it and let us know how it works for you. Jonathan PS: But a few year's familiarity with the forums doesn't hurt. :-)
  13. All of those + powder coating + wrapping + protective sheathing. Previous discussions. The product with the most recommendations is probably POR 15. NB preparation and safety precautions. Jonathan PS: Spaying is limited to the ball joints. ;-)
  14. Thanks. I wouldn't disagree with any of that, but why wouldn't a multiauthor 7 Wiki be better than our current approach with information scattered across multiple threads and Guides? Especially as so many Members have problems searching. Those special cases and exceptions could then be recorded and found every time whereas at the moment they're often omitted in any particular discussion. And if the wiki wasn't clear then one of the many helpful experts could give the explanation and we could add it to the wiki. Jonathan
  15. I found the previous discussions but all of the images have disappeared. :-( Jonathan
  16. ... this is eaxactly the reason why a Wiki won't work. I don't understand that. More, please. Thanks Jonathan
  17. But I'd like to see what the consensus is from the great and all powerful Blatchat wizards. Not much in the archives. Jonathan
  18. I've always fancied this position: Jonathan
  19. Parts list. (Previous discussions!) Jonathan PS: I haven't heard of any burst pipes spraying hot oil where it shouldn't be. But if the electronic system on my K failed my first choice would be a better sender and standing it off to somewhere less hostile.
  20. What's the access like for the fill hole? Jonathan
  21. Yes, they vary: recent discussion."Which fill hole?".Jonathan

    POR 15

I'm often trying to persuade Members not to use acetone, whether neat or in brake or clutch cleaner, when milder solvents will work fine. But this sounds smart. :-) Usual precautions for bodies including children's, fire and sparks and ventilation and refrigerators, and plastics and paint (obviously). Jonathan
  23. Do you know the nut trick if the nose of the gun won't go in far enough? Jonathan
