  1. in addition to what's in the Assembly Guides I have "Main Harness R500 Stack Dash 39L058A". If anyone has any other wiring diagrams for R500 Duratecs please could I have a copy. Thanks Jonathan
  2. Please send me a Private Message with your email address. I'll include two Stack User Guides and some communications from their UK agent about the configuration in Sevens. Jonathan
  3. Welcome Would you like a copy of the wiring diagram for your Seven? Jonathan
  4. Being in the boot space doesn't have to mean carrying the weight through the boot floor. And there are some seriously strong points nearby... ... you're going to have to tell us what it is! : - ) Jonathan
  5. Thanks I'm trying to work out why Doc007''s doesn't... Jonathan
  6. What size and part number is it, please? Jonathan
  7. The good news is that no-one seems to have reported recurrence. There's a lot of different locking compounds labelled Loctite. Experiences and recommendations, please. Jonathan https://next.henkel-adhesives.com/us/en/articles/choosing-the-right-threadlocker.html ... and that's just those designed to be used on threaded fasteners...
  8. Thanks for the heads-up. I've had a quick read of the Ford/Motorcraft notes and can't see any concerns about incompatibilities or concerns of relevance to Ford engines used in Sevens. But it should add nicely to the confusion! : - ) Jonathan PS: But it did uncover a warning about "Universal" coolants.
  9. Welcome The guide to speedometers. There's some previous discussion of the reluctor ring becoming loose or moving: Jonathan
  10. Thanks for sharing your solution, and I'm glad that it's working. But I thought that the objective was to reduce mechanical load on the hose stubs or any part of the radiator other than the mounting points. Jonathan
  11. The settings for that EES3-1A32-00B are in the Guide. I'll see if I've got any more information. Jonathan
  12. Thanks for the photos. Nearly there. Jonathan
  13. Ah... I assumed that was describing what's attached at the gearbox where the right-angled drive usually connects. Where is this? Jonathan
  14. I think that access/removal/refitting will be the same as with the original mechanical right-angled cable drive... tight but possible. You can increase clearance by slackening the gearbox mount and yanking the tail to one side. But do you need to do that, or only to change the calibration? That might be possible at the instrument rather than the sender. Could you add some photos of the face and rear of the instrument. That should allow someone to identify how it can be recalibrated. Jonathan PS: The easiest way to establish true speed is now with a GPS device/ app on a smart 'phone rather than with measured distances on the road.
  15. I'm not sure what you've got... the Speedometer Guide. ... There are several adapters that fit into a Type 9 gearbox that gives an electrical output. Do you have something that looks like this? Photos, please. ... That would apply to a set-up where the signal is taken from a wheel or a driveshaft, as documented in the Guide. But not to one where it's taken from the gearbox. Jonathan
  16. Please could you add some photos of the radiator held against the brackets. Jonathan
  17. Various fixes to the mounts have been necessary, including turning holes into slots and packing with washers and fettling brackets. The common aim is to make sure that there is no force applied to the body of the radiator as it is fitted and the fasteners are tightened. The principle with the hoses is similar: to avoid mechanical loads on the stubs. I'm not sure how this is best done, but if there's a lot of axial push I'd trim them. A concertina section might help. Jonathan
  18. I had to look that one up. It's a water-cooled Type 2, made in Brazil. Jonathan
  19. Same problem of multiple threads on the same subject. I suggest starting with these: Jonathan
  20. Unfortunately it's scattered across multiple threads but I suggest starting here: and here: Jonathan
  21. And Radtec have suggested that the composition of the coolant is a cause. Several of us are not convinced. Have you found that discussion? Jonathan
  22. There's a lot in the archives about the need to avoid stress on the radiator from the mounting points and the top hose. Have you found those threads already? Jonathan
  23. See Ian's note upthread about where to not put the new fluid in an Eezibleed or similar system. Jonathan
  24. Any recent work or drowning? Try removing all of the connectors from the instrument: what does the needle do? If that has no effect try tapping the case. Jonathan
