  1. "Mintex 1144 pads road legal?" Jonathan
  2. "No clue how to upload photos on hear..? Any guidance appreciated..?" There are three ways of posting images: two by uploading them to this site, and one by linking to them on another site eg Dropbox. They're all described in the Forum User Guide. Most Members now use the shortcut upload. That's quick and comparatively easy, but it does limit the resolution of the image. Not usually a problem for photos but can be for screen dumps, images of documents etc. The other two methods don't have that limitation. Please let me know if you need any help or want to practise. Jonathan
  3. Please let me know if you'd like an Assembly Guide. Jonathan
  4. You need to get the handbrake lever roughly vertical. And there might be a screw in each rear lower corner of the cover. Jonathan PS: Recent discussion.. : - )
  5. What size wheels? And how important is performance in the wet? Jonathan
  6. Image shows OK for me. Jonathan
  7. The Get To Know Your Seven articles. Jonathan PS: Happy to discuss searching, but let's do it over here, please.
  8. Thanks for the update. ... The site can show videos inline but TTBOMK no-one knows how to upload them. How about Dropbox or YouTube? Jonathan
  9. You've now got the point to point wiring diagram for the Seven. That diagram uses one or two letter abbreviations to show the colour of each wire: the main colour and the trace colour if there is one. Those colours and abbreviations are given here. Watch out for the abbreviations for the three colours that begin with B! Use the page from the Guide with the components numbered to find the components of interest and where each end of the wires is connected. First on the diagram and then on the car. Jonathan
  10. What Michael says. Do you want the old starter switch to continue to work or only the new one? How do you want the ignition to be switched? Could you add a link to the new switch, please. Jonathan
  11. Please send me a Private Message with your email address. Jonathan
  12. Welcome. Let me know if you would like a wiring diagram for that Seven. And do you have a multimeter? I wouldn't expect anything unusual about fitting this to a Crossflow Seven. Are there any instructions for the new switch, and do they include a maximum current rating? Jonathan
  13. It occurred to me that I'd never seen it used for that purpose! Jonathan
  14. Guzunder = chamber pot. Because it... Jonathan
  15. Nice work. Thankyou. How about labelling each image with what's fitted on each side? Jonathan
  16. I'd have a chat with Redline. Jonathan
  17. Yes, it's different. But his approach to explanation was interesting. : - ) Jonathan
  18. Have you seen the Founder's explanation... but on centre-locked wheels? Jonathan
  19. "... as long as car is right hand drive !" Doesn't nearside depend on where it's being used? ; - ) Jonathan
  20. The left hand side has a left handed thread. Jonathan
  21. As above : - ) ... apart from wedging the heads in the runners with a tool do you know the other fixes for holding the bolts still while you tighten the nuts... welding them into the runners, rectangular heads and cutting a transverse slot on the free end? Jonathan
  22. "I'm referring to the Allen studs that hold the frame onto the runners rather than the ones that bolt through the floor.". Doh! Sorry, that would explain it. "Is it easier/ best to leave those and undo the nuts & bolts through the floor?" I think that it's more common to disconnect the whole thing from the floor. And that's where the jamming tricks help. Jonathan
  23. While you're down there... apart from wedging the heads in the runners with a tool do you know the other fixes for holding the bolts still while you tighten the nuts... welding them into the runners, rectangular heads and cutting a transverse slot on the free end? Jonathan
