  1. I was hopimg to sell the pistons with the cams. Make me a sensible offer if you are interested in both. James
  2. Richard Are there wheels left? If so how much? Do they have tyres? James
  3. The new zetec looks interesting but the exhaust is on the "wrong" side. The old zetec uses a cast block but the new one is ali so should be quite light. Just for the record the best ever Caterham is mine! The trusty old vx engine - you cant beat it! James wink.gif
  4. Would you be interested in selling the wheels seperately?
  5. They would work better with mapped ignition. Also you would need your pistons pocketed. I have a set of standard pistons with larger pockets and new rings etc if you are interested James
  6. Forgot to add this will include a donation to ntl James
  7. Pair of Kent cams (ast1603) and pulleys for sale £195 ono Very good condition approx 1000 miles to fit a 2.0 16v vx. James Edited by - james on 29 Oct 2001 20:22:45
  8. Alex I am in Sutton,Surrey (South London) The bonnet is un painted with the heater and carb cut outs. It should be ok if you were going to paint it. If you are interested call 07973 162353 James Edited by - james on 14 Oct 2001 20:05:23 Edited by - james on 14 Oct 2001 20:06:04
  9. I have got one with 2 small dents if thats any good! It is not painted James Edited by - james on 13 Oct 2001 19:43:46
  10. Just to clarify a couple of points: Lack of oil pressure with a vx with the standard caterham sump is most likely caused by a crap design in the sump! ie a large piece of sponge! What happens is the oil cannot travel through the sponge quickly enough at high revs and the pressure drops. I had the same problems until i fitted a normal type of sump with baffles etc. A 15/50 oil would be better than a 0/40 but only if the sump problem is sorted out first! Obviously a dry sump system would be better all round if funds permit. James
  11. Robert Thanks i will check it out. James
  12. Is the inlet manifold still for sale? Do you have any carbs? James
  13. I saw one in a caterham 7. It was a bit of a mess under the bonnet with pipes and wires etc everywhere but it was a bit quick! The worst bit was the plumbing for the intercoolers. James
  14. oops! Edited by - james on 14 Sep 2001 21:34:45
  15. Chris Just think how low your car would be if you fitted a proper engine! The k-series cars suspension should be set a little higher to enable easier loading on to the AA truck! James
