Rowland I use carbs on my vx engine. Not saying how much power but suffice to say its a bit more than a JPE 😬 It is very torquey and drivable bottom end and round town etc. It has enough power to beat K2RUM at Brooklands so it cant be that slow! Paul I do know how a carb works! I was curious as to the difference between a top spec carb and injection engine. I have not tried injection on mine and I dont want to spend over £2000 to find no real power advantage. I am very happy with the driveability of my engine so this is not an issue for me. Peter Carbs are much better than that horrible injection 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 You can get decent power from them! The Duratec looks good for power and reliability. Theres no substitute for power! To be honest on trackdays I can keep up with almost anything in a straight line. On bends only the odd 7 or Radical go past me. Most I then catch on the straight again. Andrew I use a Pace tank in place of the passenger footwell extension. It works well and looks quite neat imo. I decided on the Pace tank for a few reasons one being that the inlet and outlet pipes can face different directions which makes the plumbing a bit easier and neater. Ditto Arnie on the steel gears.
