  1. On my 21, K serie dry sump, after a oil change or a after the winter break, I poured a little amount of oil in the cylinder via the plug hole. Crank the engine until i see oil pressure, fit the spark plugs and start the engine. The oil burns making a nice white smoke which disappear very quickly Jack

  3. hello I have tried to rotate the WASP to have the solenoid under the body but it didn't work Would you still have the Brise adapter plate gathering dust in your garage? I would like to move the solenoid as far away as possible from the primaries. Cheers Jack

I am looking to update this part of the wiring of car also and I have been looking at "welding cable" which is design for high current application and is flexible. the one I am looking at is 35mmsq which is rated at 220A which should be enough for the starter motor. It seems also to be more cost effective... Jack

  8. Hi All My old starter motor is dead after nearly 20 years of being cooked by the exhaust it is not bad going. I have researched the subject and it seems there is three main possibilities: The Powerlite RAC430 The WASP LMS430 Brise C890510PGR Cost varies between £150 to £215 for the Brise. They all look very similar, with multi hole flanges etc. Thye question is which one is best? Jack

  15. Hello I've seen the video where the engine is on a bench and the video about cutting the cam belt length ways and fit a new one. On the video, the chaps removes the crank pulley, is that necessary on a Caterham? What is the best way to lock the engine? If it is left in-gear is that ok? And lastly which kit to buy and where?   18. You could add a resistor in series, with the bulb. I did that a while back and it was successful. Jack
