  3. Bill Can i take on your offer? My 21 will need to get some exercise after a week of doing nothing. What about saturday? You don't have a blower hidding in your garage by any chance, which i could study? I do like the V8 feeling, lots of low down torque and plenty of power higher in the revs. It's what my VVC is doing now. The turbotechnic option is too expensive for what it is, at £7.5K. The only bespoke parts is a second injector. The plenum they use is pretty but i can have one made for £400 and a set of low compression piston are not this expensive. They must do a least 50% pure profit on this installation. And i would like to fit the blower after the tb not before, to use the petrol as an air cooler. I still would like to see an installation. If someone know about an Elise with a TT installation. Jack
  4. Well this is the question i'm asking. Jack
  5. In my last posting, Low compression engine & Supercharger, Hoopy argued the fragility of the K, when asking for big power, is the result of high revs, above the “standards red line” (9000 rpm for a K is well pass the red line). My aim is to have more power & more torque without having a high revving engine. This is why the supercharger is the road I’m following. I’m aiming for 220bhp with strict minimum of mods to the engine. My point is, if I want 220bhp, at normal revs (4000rpm), will my engine (VVC) suffer the same way as the high revving high power output engine. Which are the real factors leading to an engine failure? Rev or Power? Waiting with impatience your thought. Jack
  6. I've called them this afternoon. Very helpfull people. they redirected me on www.magnusonproducts.com Did you heard about Mr Corki Bell? He suppose to have written a book on supercharger. Do you have any info in your "superchargers" folder by any chance? Other little question, can i fit a supercharger without lowering the compression ratio first? If yes how? Jack
  7. Cheers AMMO The layout i'm interested in is it's the blower being fitted after the TB. According to my reading the mixure air/fuel should cool down the air enough to not have to use an air cooler. It's look like the Roots units are a better unit fitted with small-ish capacity engines. I believe the Eaton unit is a Root. Do you have a name for this Eaton unit? Jack
  8. I have been reading some very interesting books on blowers. I at the stage of choosing which engine i will use. I don't think i would like to use a K engine due to its high compression ratio and it's fragility passed 250bhp Which engine should i use? a Ford or Vauxhall? any other idea Jack

  12. Since the latest posting regarding break fluid, i've been monitoring the break fluid of my different cars. On my old Peugeot, it might have a leak somewhere. What is the best way of hunting for this eluding leak? Or is it possible that the age of the break fluid in it, is just evaporating? I need your help on this Jack
  13. My car is a C21 I'm having it ready for motoring down to France in October! What size socket do i need? I just have the standarsd halfords set. Jack
  14. What does the silicone do? I believe it's seal the tb to the plenum better than the original caoutchouc gasket. What i know it work much better after i've use this silicone as well as the original caoutchouc gasket. It's low modulus because i used the one used by Aryliam. Basically it's bathroon sealant! It is proberbly a bodge but it work! Jack
  15. Michael Give me a buzz on 07801701773. I can explain what i meant and maybe i could borrow a 19mm socket to take my bearings out. I can even buy some low modulus silicone sealant for you as well, it's around £6-7. Jack
  16. Paul Give a bell to Clive he might sell you one jack
  17. hello While my tank has gone to be reapaired i though i could have a look at the skeaky noise coming from the front. I've baught a set of new pad and bearing. The pad would be a piece a cake to change but the bearing it is an other story. Could somebody give me a details way of how to do it? Or give me a hand on Saturday? thank for your help Jack
  18. Michael The way i've solve the problem is my buying some low modulus silicone and fit it back as well as reseting the MEMS. It cured it 99% of the time The last one % is when i should have drop a couple a gear after a bend 😬, I am lazy some times... Jack
  19. Having loads of trouble with my plastic petrol tank i would like to know if someone can recomended a tank maker in Bucks Jack
  20. Hi Hoopy I apologize deeply. I've been talking to people regarging your battery and it seems it's not a good idea to buy an one year battery because of the very short life span of the banner battery. I'm using my 21 as an everyday car and even with the AA it always very ambarassing to be town back to the nearest garage. I'm terribly sorry again Jack
  21. Hi Hoopy Can i still by your battery? According to some later posting £25 is about half from cc Jack
