Here is the list of what i have tried and what i've found disconcerting. Remove starter moter from engine. Remove solenoid from starter motor. Check the solenoid with out spring, work fine the bolt is pull . I've powered the solenoid directly from the battery, battery voltage 12.69Vdc Check solenoid with starter motor and doesn't work. Where is the problem? Any ideas? realease spring to strong? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

I've spend my saturday dismantling my 21 to get access to the starter motor. I have discovered, the solenoid is not (anymore) strong enough to pull the gear inside the starter motor. It is the first time this has happen. Did someone had the same kind of failure of a solenoid? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

Yes The righhand side engine mount is dead. The left hand side is going. It's a ten year old car so it's not so bad to have to change them after 10 years Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

Paul when you had your tracking checked did they had some problem to do it? I went to my local tyre place and they can't make adjust it. Did you had the same problem? It's now pulling left even more than before. I called my local toyota dealer and they want £140 to do it . which is rather on the expensive side. Hello I have just finish to fit the cat by-pass (Cheer Paul ) I've started her up and i have some leak at the junction of the manifold and the cat by-pass. Is there a special gasket which i forgot? What I did is remove the six bolts holding the seat to the runners. The bolt where so rusty I had to cut them off, and on two occasion I am replacing the insert as well. The inserts are mild steel and I have no idea about the bolts, as they were very rusty The runners are now bolt down by two new M8 stainless steel, nilock nuts and washer to the floor. I am now very confused. *confused* I know the harness bolts need to be high tensile bolts and that they are expensive. If my old bolts where mild steel can I replace them with stainless bolts? Do high tensile bolts rust like mild steel one or do they keep their golden colour? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

I am replacing the bolts holding the seat down. I have been told they are high tensile bolts. I was going to repalce them with stainless steel one. Am I making a big mistake? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
