    De-welding

Thank you very much for your help gentlemen The welding was done by one of my wrought iron gate maker and it has been done very skilfully. The dremel will not be man enough to grind it off. ☹️ I'm a bit scared that everything might go wrong if i do it I spoke to Clive of Aryliam fame and he should be able to help me out. I'll try to see him next week. Thanks again for your help Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

    De-welding

Hi Just spent a couple of hours dismantling the old exhaust manifold only to discover that the new one is fouling the engine bracket. It's entirely my fault, i should have fitted everything before asking to have the pipes welded to the flange. I have invested too much time, effort and money bin it. Therefor, I need to salvage as much as I can (nearly everything) Is there a way of de-welding stainless steel pipes? And who could help me weld them back on when in situ? Thank very much for your help Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

  12. Hi Sacha What are "black cap heads"? I'm a bit puzzle by what they are. And I've got a thread which is slightly damage, this is why I want to fit some "studs" for fear of breaking of the remaining of the thread Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  13. Hi I had a close look in the Demon tweeks on-line catalogue and I cannot find studs to fix the exhaust manifold to the head. do someone has a part number for them? Where can I get them from? Cheers Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  14. Rick The jenveys are the standard DTH tb you can get from caterham or if you have plenty of money you can get the rollerbarrel 😬 The last time I've spoke to Emerald they had an ECU for the VVC. I do not recall if it has been installed on a Seven yet. The price was a similar one to the non vvc ECU. You will need to have it mapped and a few rr session will be needed. I can't find emerald e-mails with all the details. Give them a bell and just ask Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  15. I'm now thinking of going the Jenveys and Emerald route keeping the vvc. Should give me 180bhp mini which is the 100bhp/ltr I want to achieve. Anything more than that will be a bonus Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  16. Sacha It's a pigy back type of chip. What I was thinking of doing on mine is have a RR sessions before and after fitment. If there is some improvements I'll keep it otherwise i'll give it back. Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  17. ☹️ I know An so close to X-mas Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  18. If you know the absorb power of the bulbs or circuit, in Watts, you need to divide by the voltage i.e.: 12Vdc and multiply the result by a safety ratio of 1.6, this should give you the right rating for your application What is important is current at which the switch is rated. i.e. a contact rated at 500V 100mA will not be as strong as a one witch is rated at 12V 5A. The first one will self-destruct if you try to switch 5A. Therefore the switch you are mentioning will only suitable to break a current much higher than 200mA at 12Vdc Hope this helps Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

  20. taking the exhaust off, I have found that one of the bolt has damaged the thread inside the head. According of your advice, I should go for the stud option. What can i do to repair the thread? Or Can I loctite the studs? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  21. Does the honda one fit on a VVC? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  22. Hi I have seen recently at Aryliam an R500 engine with some studs & nuts to attach the manifold to the block. On my VVC, the manifold is attached to the block with bolts. Why the difference? Can I fit studs to my block? How difficult would it be? And where can I get them? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  23. Thank you for your advice gentlemen I've nicely asked Clive from Aryliam if he had one and I'm now the owner of 5 25ltr barrels Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
