    VVC engine

I have been offered a VVC engine for £275 if someone interested on e-bay Ready to be pickup this sunday I have no idea about the milage, etc about it. The engine is in Kent Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  2. Pete I have just spoken to the company wich I droped the plate last night and they already done it! So I'm ok now, I hope 😳 until the next trial fitting... Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  3. Peter Thank you very much for the offer. I will love to have a carbon back plate. Do you produce them yourself? If yes do you have the CAD drawing for them? My problem is that the original back plate I had with the roller barrels was fouling one of the members inside the engine bay. In R500 the engine is slightly more inclined than normal which mean that the back plate is clear of this member. I cannot do that with my 21 because the exhaust cannot be moved. For the backplate to be fit inside the engine bay, the two elongated onblong holes needs to be reduced by about 50mm on either side. If I had a drawing with all those dimesion I could have one made with the modification without any problem. Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  4. Thank you Peter What I realy need is the drawing that Titan Motorsport won't release. I need to make a bespoke one to fit in my 21. I will try to give the one I have to a local engineering firm to see if they can make a copy. Anyone insterested it a new back plate? Thanks again for your help Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21

  10. I'll try that tomorow and see what happen When I was refitting the old plenum, by mistake I disconected the coil pack. the lead going to the spark plugs. Could I damaged something if the spark plus where firing in the wrong order? 😔 Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  11. RJ I'm not yet running an Emerald, I'm running the OEM ECU. I'm just back from more test and poke around, and cylinder 2 and 3 are firing, their respective exhaust are very hot, and 1 and 4 are stone cold. I have check the spark and two nice spark. There is a strong smell of unburnt fuel as well which could indicate that the injectors are working properly. I will have a look at the inertia switch tomorow, where is it situated usualy? What else could I check? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  12. Check the ECU fuse and it was blown Replaced the ECU fuse and car still don't start! Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  13. I have to explain a bit more. My project is fitting RB to my VVC, the engine will be controlled by and emerald. I wanted to make a trial fit to make sure I had all the right bits, which I had, apart for the back plate which is fooling one of the chassis members. So I re-feted the old VVC plenum and reconnected everything. Started the engine which run quite rough, turned it back off, made some checks and now nothing happens. The engine turn over but won't start. Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  14. So it just a case of reseting the ECU? Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
  15. Hi I have a little problem with my car, it won't restart. I had a trial fit of my roller barrels and everything went to plan. When I finished refit the induction to my car, i started the engine and it n for a few second but a it rough, and there was some smoke coming from the exhaust. I turned it off made a few checks, and now the engine will not start. I have checked that I have pretrol and I have a spark on all the cylinders. When I was fitting the RB I had to disconnect the crank sensor, could that be a possible reason why it's not starting now? Any other ideas? Cheers Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21
