  1. Hi all I have an issue with my Audi A6, it is down on power by a huge amount. I've changed the air mass sensor which seems to have help a little. The next job I'm planning is cleaning the EGR. I was thinking of giving it a soak in BBQ cleaner chemicals and then using a toothbrush to finish. Is using BBQ cleaner a good idea? Jack

    dolly

Hi All I want to take apart the wishbone, etc of my car so I can spruce them up, replace the bushes etc.. I have 4 spare solid wheels rated at 350kg each and I some wood planks 10mm thick 150mm wide in pine. I was thinking using the wood and the wheels to create a dolly for my car. I would make a rectangle with the plank and bolt the wheel at each corner. The wheels and the wood should be strong enough to support the weight of the car. However, I am unsure on where to support the car, (Caterham 21). Should I fit some blocks the car is off the frame? Did someone made one or used one? Any pointer on the best way to support the car whiles on the frame would be greatly appreciated Cheers Jack

  6. Hello All I have a problem with the heater fan of my Audi A6. When I turn the fan on inside the cabin there is 50% chance it will not start. If i remove the cabin filter and give it a spin with my hand, the fan will spin slowly then gain speed and work until the next time I switch it off. I have change the speed controller. I am a somehow puzzle by this fault. I know AC motors need a capacitor to start but DC motors? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated Jack .
  7. My First blog ever! So I have decided to update the suspension of the car. Step one: New parts: I have the Powerflex bushes, and new Bilstein suspension bit Step two: creating a cradle for the car so I can wheel it in and out of the garage. I have ordered 4 wheels which have a load capacity of 300kg each. I'm thinking of making the cradle out of wood or aluminum. Taking apart the suspensions have the wishbone, etc shot blasted and powder coated fit Powerflex bushes fit everything back on the car Take the car for a spin. All that should be feasible over winter? Jack .
