I got through 2 (VDO) senders in 2 years on my X Flow, I would do as Brent suggests and try a mechanical gauge, get it up to temperature and test it stationary at different revs in your drive. Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

Evening CageyH I have the old Caterham one and was going to Cable Tie it behind the dash but it has not got a high enough watage to activate the alternator. So now I have a 21W indicator bulb stuck under the dash and I can see my feet in the dark if I stall the car, trrrrriiiiiffffffffffficcccccccccccccccccccc all the MAX POWER boys think I'm cool with my orange foot well 😬 Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

Charging problem now solved, the charge indicator neon has to be at least 3W to provide sufficient excitation current to start charging of the new alternator Anyone know where I can get a (very) small panel mount bulb holder that will take a 3W + bulb 🤔 Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

Brent Gearbox is good, 5 forward and 1 reverse and no leaks that I can see. The "whine" has also gone only to be replaced by that of the wife because I broke down and spoiled the Sunday roast Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

Slight charging problem, car cut out in Woking with flat battery thanks to Boz ans Steve for the offers of assistance I managed to limp home after charging if from the wifes car for 10 minutes. If you think the Pirbright bends can be scary, try them in the dark with no lights Done 12 miles with the ZETEC and I am very impressed with the torque and I haven't been over 4000rpm don't know how long the R48's on the rears will last 😬 Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

As Brent correctly say's, I have at last picked up the Zetec from Raceline and if your that way inclined (Delbert) you can see it here here Brent thanks for your kind offer, I don't really know when I will be fitting it, I was going to do it this afternoon but the wife's not too happy with that. I keep disappearing into the garage and she suspects something, she even asked me if I had started secretly smoking again (after 10 years ), now she thinks I'm having a sly beer out there 😬 So it will probably be Wednesday or Thursday, if I need a hand I'll give you a ring Oh by the way have you seen my new lightweight CRB here 😬 Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC Conversion has begun here
