  2. Has anyone got a set of helmet speakers they no longer require, the flat one's that Velcro/stick inside the helmet. Doesn't matter what size or type of plug they have. Thanks Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  3. I run 40's on my standard 2.0L Zetec with a Facet 40147C pump and Purolator regulator, all of which are on 8mm ID hose, right from the tank to the front carb. I bought the Purolator PRO54 which has 8mm inlet/outlet which fits fine. The regulator controls the pressure rather than flow so that the carbs needle valves are not overcome with petrol so a large hose would work ok, but not one that is too small. Having said all that, when I fitted the pump/regulator I bought 3 metres of good quality 8mm fuel hose, a box of clips (not worm drive) and replaced the lot Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

  5. Yep got in car and sat on them, anyone done the same but broken the other arm and has a left hand one surplus to requirements? Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  6. I am not sure which cover you mean, mine was the engine used for the photo in LF, so it was already stripped down when I got it. With the exception of the small black metal plate behind the tensioner and idler (which I think has to remain), ALL the covers were removed and nothing was cut. 7. Thanks Brent but SWMBO is out tonight so it will have to wait Thanks Phil, but I now know the problem is the sender/gauge combination so I can either change the sender or get the TA mechanical unit that Brent uses. 8. Brent what time are you back home today? If 4 bar was your max I am off to the garage now to put the old gauge back in Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  9. Brent Did the gauge in the complete kit from Think Automotive match your other gauges? if so do you happen to have a part number as it is not in their parts book. I am now going into the garage to put the old 5 bar gauge back in. Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  10. Morning Brent Yes I used the old sender off of the X Flow but changed the gauge from a 5 to a 10 bar one. I now get 8 bar hot at revs and 4.5 bar hot on idle, have I just answered my own question. Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  11. QUESTION: would an electric 10 bar oil pressure gauge connected to a 5 bar oil pressure sender, read double the actual? and if you had a 10 bar sender with a 5 bar gauge would you get a reading half that of the actual. This is not a trick question and I need to know the answer Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  12. Brent/All Being serious for a moment, I really need to know the answer to the above because since my ZETEC installation I am getting what some would say (Phil) some very odd readings Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o Edited to say that I hear on the grapevine that you no longer require a lift back next Sunday The ZETEC is now running here Edited by - Guy Lowe on 30 Apr 2007 09:28:17
  13. This being the case, would a 5 bar sender connected to a 10 bar gauge, read double of the actual? and if you had a 10 bar sender with a 5 bar gauge would you get a reading half that of the actual, or am I being stupid 😳 Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here

  17. 1 full set (4) of single tang VHPD rods, for Rover K series. Full bushed small ends. End to end balancing. by Steve Smith of Vibration free Very low mileage, under 4k, they were used in conjunction with the tungsten inserted crank so reducing secondary imbalance forces and crank bending resulting in an easier time for the rods. I have upped the cam spec of your engine and the extra power and rpm requires Arrow rods. I purchased them off Dave Andrews/oilyhands (blatchat id). £300 Please contact David Skeggs, d.skeggs@ntlworld.com Photos can be supplied if needed. Dave Skeggs

  20. Don't fit one there, if you are involved in a front end accident, it will fly forward like a bl@@dy missile Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  21. Yes that's correct Steve because the Focus water pump is in the way, but on some (Lucas) alternators you can rotate the casing so the mounting holes line up, not sure about the Valeo unit. There are also different shaft sizes, I had to change mine because the shaft was 15mm and the hole in the RACELINE V Belt pulley is 17mm. Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
  22. Phil Just done a bit more research and the oil filter that was on my FOCUS engine when I picked it up from RACELINE is used on the following Ford applications, and probably many other engines Ford Fiesta ST 3/05-> Ford Fiesta 2.0 16V ST DURATEC-ST 150 01/05-> Ford Focus 2.0i 16V 11/04-> Ford Focus 1.8i Duratec 4/04-> Ford Focus 2.0 DW10(PSA) 4/04-> Ford Maverick 2.3 16V 3/04-> Ford Mondeo 1.8i 16V 11/00-> Ford Mondeo 1.8i 16V 11/00-> Ford Mondeo 1.8i 16V 11/02-> Ford Mondeo 1.8 SCi 7/03-> Ford Mondeo 2.0 16V 11/00-10/02 Ford Mondeo 2.0 16V 146 11/02-> Ford Mondeo 2.0i 11/02-> I hope this helps Guy SB Lowe o *arrowup*o The ZETEC is now running here
