James I used an angle grinder with a very thin disc and then tidied it up with a flap disc/wheel /sites/default/files/images/users/3816/Flap_disk.jpg

Sorry only just seen this ( wife has got me decorating) and my solution may already have been tried. As with #13 I had the same problem so cut off the unused lugs on the wind back tool to get more clearance , worked a treat.

I have an original recon deep type X Flow rad in immaculate condition that I no longer need if it's any use? Will try to get a picture up.

Jonathan Mine is a 1990 kit and originally an X Flow. When I spoke to John and Mick at Redline about the problem a few years back, they told me that when CC ran out of stock of the correct shafts it was common practice to send out the slightly shorter Vauxhall units Guy

Too short IMO, I had the same problem when I bought my car sent it to https://www.dandfltd.co.uk/. Great service, they put a complete new tube on, balanced and checked over U/J's, came back within 2 days and the price was very reasonable

I got fed up with Banner batteries years ago and have had the same Powevamp for 7 years now. Like Andy Lef I just bought a sheet of ali, a hinge, a catch and used the Machine Mart folder to make a simple tray.

I run the same spec (200bhp) as Aeroscreens and it a joy to drive, so much low down torque Phil Waters is the man you need to talk to regarding the axle, he runs a 235+ Zetec through a English/Ford axle with discs.

Thanks JonT, it was a long time ago since I was last there and I don't remember if we were tested or not, with a 105dB static I'm fairly confident I'll be okay
