  1. Nick, thanks for the offer, Simon has sorted me out. Graham
  2. Simon, yes I am still interested, sorry for the lack of contact. I won't bore you with why, but I was dealing with a very distracting situation. Unfortunately I am away this weekend too. So, I think it'll be the following one. Sorry about that. Graham
  3. Spoken to Avon technical and it is a common phenomenon which has no adverse effect on safety provided the (rear) tyres are on the right way round. And to quote... "from the back the V of the tread should point upwards". The fit of the fronts doesn't matter from a "delaminating" perspective. Graham
  4. What I have got on my tyres is across the tread, not cracks in the sidewall. No idea if it's actually a problem, but will be checking with Avon to get their view. Graham
  5. I should add that those tyres have done very little track work and are fitted according to the product code method from Avon. Are they safe to use? Graham
  6. Been doing some polishing today (after having used the 7 every day last week shock horror) and I had the wheels off to clean them. I noticed a lateral mark across the tread of one CR500 that looks suspiciously like a seam. It is very noticeable on one tyre, there if you look hard on two more and seemingly not on the forth. You might be able to see it ... here Graham Edited by - gridgway on 9 Sep 2007 20:57:26
  7. did you get my blatmail Matt? Graham
  8. Looking for a single CR500 175x55 13 to go on soare wheel. Needs to be road legal (just). Graham
  9. don't fiddle, just take it back. It's not right. It's (arguably) the most proven k "upgrade" and should be a joy to drive. Graham
  10. excellent approach, well done Caterham Graham PS that'll be root cause btw!!
  11. maybe find someone who can pressurise the cooling system for you? Graham
  12. I would say that the engine temp is irrelevant to the outcome in this case. If a quick rev actually causes a coolant drop, then that'll be the normal k series outcome. Graham
  13. I had an ACB10 puncture fixed ok. Graham

I have the Peter Carmichael built NAS - it's excellent. He should be along soon! Graham
  15. so with the bulk buy one at £25, I'm pretty happy! Graham
  16. yep, tried a high quality impact socket and it does the job. Havent even cycled the batts yet. Graham
  17. Thanks all for the tips. I'll cycle the batts a few times and see what happens. I'm happy to start and finish the job by hand (!) and use the wench for spin the nuts! Is there any way of discharging them without just holding the trigger down. Graham
  18. Thanks Alan, nice to do business with you! It works ok, doesn't crack nuts done up to 55 and doesn't crack nuts it has done up IYSWIM! But fine for my purposes. Graham
  19. Adam, probably standard 6 and 8's. It's only a weedy clubsport! Graham PS anyone wanna race?
  20. You can come over to Epsom and try one of my Rad wheels if you want. Graham
  21. yes, it is not too bad. If you are just doing the bottom wishbone, I think you can take that off without having to split the top balljoint. If you are doing the lot, the splitting of the top ball joint is the painful bit. If you need to take the top balljoint off the top wishbone, just count the revolutions you unscrew to be able to put it back. Easy really. Graham PS easy apart from the whole bush in/out pressy thing!
  22. never had much problem here Graham
