  1. Just looked for some pics. My memory failed me! The exit is on the LHS and it looks exactly the same as the pics above. It def does not take 25bhp away though. I got 223bhp with the rear exhaust and 231 with the side exit. Graham
  2. I would say it' s not exactly the same. I don't recall there being such a big step down in diameter nor it being flattened as much. I also don't recall the exit at the rear on the LHS. I'll have to go and look at my pics at home this evening. Graham
  3. on Dave Walker's old rolling road it robbed 8bhp from my (ex) R500 as compared to the original R500 side exit box. Well worth it for quiet track days. Graham
  4. Wheels gone, anyone want a sump? Graham
  5. doh, I can't believe I didn't put the size in! They are 13"x6" DD fitment and it's just possible (if I have got the link right) that they can be viewed here They are in Epsom. First dibs awarded to Simon, second to Ziplobb Graham Edited by - Gridgway on 16 Dec 2007 17:38:30
  6. Set of 4 minilites plus vgc ACB10s. Wheels are black centres with polished rims and in good (although not perfect) nick. Tyres were new mid-year and have only done a few wet (eek) laps of Spa. £280. SOLD K-series wet sump pan, with windage plate, oil-pickup and dispstick assembly. Very light use (ie slight wear on front lh corner). £180. Prefer buyer to collect, but could post sump (at cost). Graham Edited by - gridgway on 20 Dec 2007 00:10:51
  7. Brilliant, sounds perfect, thanks Darren. Graham
  8. I need to get my car up in the air to work on over the winter so was looking for some chassis stands. I can't mention the car owing to the new censorship rules , but it's quite like a 7 and about 440kg without the bodywork! I looked on machinemart but they dont seem to have any. Ideally 24" high and 30" wide. Any ideas? Thanks Graham PS the make starts with R.
  9. I know that everyone leaps to the "Oddesy" type batteries at this point. But my MBE/R500 was complete poo at starting on a gel battery and excellent on the banner which I changed back to. The cranking current is super-dooper on a gel battery, but the volts drop potentially too much for the MBE ecu. YMMV. Graham (geddit? potentially!)
  10. you need Peter Carmichael to comment here. He is the expert on non-stack dashes. Graham
  11. Thanks Stuart - posted in chitchat. It's not serious, just a seized brake caliper on the Rad and no time to fix! Mark, if that's the first breakage since Greg bought my old R500, it's not done too badly. Mind you that sounds like what happened to me. Vibration from an unbalanced flywheel caused the cam pully to come off the front and the flywheel fell off as the bolts fretted away! Sounds expensive though. Graham
  12. As the title says... my car is sick so I can't attend. The day is 105db static and run by Track Masters. Noisy days are normally very expensive as only half the cars can go. At £235 it's a bargain. Graham
  13. John, sounds perfect, when are you next over? I'll find out when they are doing whatever the project is. Thanks GRaham
  14. does anyone (preferably nearish to Epsom) have an unwanted CRT monitor. Ridgers Jnr's school wants one for a project. Tks Graham
  15. Yup, and I hadn't even had a drink! Might have missed off the smiley thing though! Graham
  16. So, I don't feel bad about a post that completely misses the point, shows complete ignorance and absolutely fails to answer the OP's questions. As that is what you lot have all done. Pathetic. Graham

the caterham remote sender kit works as well. Graham
  18. no they dont sell caterham products to the end user. They are tied up with the normal caterham supplier contract. Graham
  19. so is the "R500 Evo" Caterham's designation for the car that had Minister's R101 engine? Graham
  20. yep, fraid so Steve! The Radical has won out for the time being! I haven't got the time, brainpower or budget to managed two track oriented toys! Graham
  21. Ferrari Titanium silver and black 134 bhp Supersport with all the superlight extras (apart from the carbon bits): 45,000 miles Widetrack Big brakes Freestyle Evo shocks spring setup 6 Speed box Apollo tank LSD FIA Bar Reasonably high mileage, but has had a massive amount of maintenance with all major components re-furbished! Bodywork not perfect as you would expect, but it has been always garaged, so in great condition. Ad with pics on PH here Graham Edited by - gridgway on 7 Oct 2007 20:22:56
  22. Is mine no good to you Matt? Graham
  23. good, you dont want it to go wrong! Graham
  24. Steve, have you worked out how to re-time the cams after the change? Graham
  25. Mine's still available Matt! I have been driving it to and from work in the recent fab weather and it is going very well indeed! Graham
