Astonishing what an amazing deal for the buyer at 8750. Prob a little disappointing for Jonny. GRaham

I think the conversion is doable, but there's a bit to it. Screen Wipers, linkage, motor Screen washers Wiper and washer switches Hood Doors Hoodsticks Welding on the Hoodstick mount if it's not there Graham
  5. James, I am hoping that with being away for a week, the gas main works will have moved on up the road! Let me know if you need any help, I've got a press in the garage. Graham

I'm in the morbid fascination camp! Mind you, if it'd had screen n doors, I would have been an interested buyer. Graham
  7. Hi James, sorry, I wasn't trying to be too much of a smart arse! I'm pretty close to you, living in Ewell just across from Epsom College. If I can help at all give me a shout. I've got tools, garage, trailer etc. I'm out sat, but around on Sunday. Graham
  8. I hope you don't mind me mentioning it, and I hope it's not too offensive (this being blatchat n all), but... ...are you stark raving mad? Driving your car with that going on. It's bad enough driving with 2mm of pad material left, but driving a car that has so obviously got a duff wheel bearing? Graham

Shame it's a real superlight with no screen and I am such a wuss that I want a screen! Graham
  10. The hole in the rear lights should be in the bottom of the lense rather than the top. lets the moisture drain out. At the top would fill it up! Haven't had the brake light switch problem myself. Strange that. Graham
  11. In that case does anyone know hpw the oil level warning system works on the sigma in a caterham? Are you really sure it's got one? Sounds far too sophisticated for a caterham to me! Graham
  12. did I miss what the engine was? Graham
  13. I wouldn't go for it as a car on principle. That overspray is offensive. Also the body corrosion you found is in the classic place and could signify serious problems. If it has a great motor and you don't care about the car, that's maybe a different thing. Graham
  14. Glad you got it sorted Ming. Just out of interest, why are people happy that it's staying in the UK? Can't quite work that one out! Graham
  15. I make it £14,217.22 Graham

Doing it now, almost complete, so if anyone is interested (which it looks like there's not) speak now or forever... Graham
  17. getting very exciting. Although I never understand the point of bidding in the middle of the auction! Graham
  18. The "invalid" reference is to me with my broken foot and ankle not the auction! Graham
  19. well, if there is no reserve and you have bidders over the start price, then it's sold. Just a question of what it goes for in the end. Graham
  20. You should get a good price! I was looking, but still being invalid, it ain't much good to me ☹️ Graham
  21. wow. it's sold then! Graham
  22. So is the solenoid just shorting the feed from the battery through the relay Andy? No idea of what current is normal. Nor what the resistance should be. I have lost track, but do you have another of your many starters to measure? Graham
  23. I don't quite get the "standard pistons" thing. My supersport worked fine on standard pistons. And it had a hard life. Of all the things that broke, pistons were not amongst them! Anyway the shift light is in the middle between revs and speedo, where the main beam warning light is. You won't have seen it if you haven't been up the revs. 7,200 might be it. Graham
  24. Also is the rev limit higher? GRaham
  25. I might be dreaming this, but did the shift light come as part of the SS upgrade? Graham
