  1. Being sold by the inestimable Nick Fulljames of Redtek Engineering, Porsche engine builder supreme. Full ad on PH, here, 54k miles, price £12,795. I don't know the car, but do know Nick who is so fastidious he should be a 7 owner. Hold on, I think he's thinking of getting one, so if someone wants to do a swapsy... Graham
  2. If anyone else is interested, I have similar for sale (same price). Mine also has the plug lead sensor for revs. Graham
  3. It's actually where the fulcrum is in the lever. I think the 3rd pic is for a different year car. GRaham
  4. I think it's the top two here Graham
  5. Good question Tim. The pedal you want is the one labelled "high effort" in the caterham online shop pages. Not entirely sure how you identify it though. Perhaps a call to Caterham? Graham
  6. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, still check your pedal. When I had big brakes and the low ratio one, I didn't like my brakes at all. Graham
  7. One thing you might find useful is changing the pedal. It sounds like you have the low-ratio pedal. I had this and it didn't give me confidence at all. I changed to the high ratio pedal and all was fine. Obviously it didn't change the brake efficiency, but really changed the way they feel. Graham
  8. My word, we are in full agreement again! Graham

The starter and alternator are definitely different units. Almost certainly a regulator problem. Graham
  10. FWIW (and that's probably not much), I think it's probably a very price sensitive car. At a higher price it's an expensive older caterham, at a slightly lower price it's a very well specced bargain! Graham
  11. I worked out what was needed for a tintop with the load ratings of the axles from the owners manual. I was fed up with car tyre places trying to sell me the XL tyres when the car didn't need them. Graham
  12. unusual to have side impact protection bar and not have any race history, especially with the cutoff key and plumbed in extinguisher. Still might be good value though. Graham
  13. Well I am now the happy owner of a subaru. It's a great car and I love driving it - thanks Mark. I'd now like to propose the perfect garage: Subaru Impreza 7 (of course, any variety) Porsche 996 GT3 RS Radical SR3 RS Bliss! Graham
  14. Mark, sent you an email about the car. Graham
  15. DVB are astonishing. I have no idea how they sell anything. That much for a car that needs a huge amount or work. Not quite a basket case, but close. Graham
  16. You just need to cut the drain holes. Trying to seal against water ingress will not work. Graham
  17. EU3 HG failed twice in my Rover 25. Once after 15k miles, thence 58k miles. When it blew first time, we stuck a new head on (courtesy of Oily), but realised that the liner heights were not fantastic. So if you have good liner heights, metal dowels and no cooling problems then you will probably last a long time. If you have a hose go or a cap go and overheat, you increase the risk on an otherwise good motor. R25 now has a new engine in! Let's see how long it lasts. Graham
  18. This has come up on PH many a time. The drilling out of the hole and the "bung" being put in from the inside is a repair to British Standards (cant remember the BS# though). Many people don't like the idea, but it would seem that the technical people who are in the know are fine with the integrity of the the mend. I have used mended tyres on track with no problems at all. Graham
  19. I have got the goldstar single camera and PVR kit. It works well and the customer service was excellent. here Graham
  20. Not wishing to be a party pooper, but it's worth checking on the whole factory built status. ISTR that it doesn't come through on the registration doc and VIN. I think all the 1600 supersports that were factory built were registered as kit built. Just worth double checking to save watsed time from otherwise well-meaning continental buyers. GRaham
  21. Do you have a part time job at Kwik Fit Dave? It's probably a gearbox problem anyways, but WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Impact gun? Graham
  22. Sorry for the hiatus, it's taking a bit longer than I thought for pics. Graham
  23. Okey dokey, thanks for the replies. I need to get the pics sorted which will take a couple of days. Graham
  24. Did you watch How? or was it How! as well Lee? Are you sure I can't interest you in the boat? Graham
  25. My Dad is pretty ancient now and has decided that being over 80 and in poor health means he has to give up boating 'n fishing. He is selling his Island Plastics 14' day fishing boat and trailer. This is a 70's boat that he thinks was built by the Jack Hargreaves programme "Out of Town". It is my Dad's P&J and he has lovingly restored it (and used it) over many years. So even though it is an old boat, all the fittings are new. New 6hp motor, remote steering gear etc. It has all necessary kit (sounder, fenders, ropes, fuel tank etc). My Dad is not only a craftsman and engineer, he is a perfectionist as well! He needs it gone and has it advertised for £1750. However if anyone wanted to make an offer they could drive it away for quite a lot less. The trailer is old again, but very servicable. It's situated near Hythe. It's a long shot, but you never know! Contact me for more details. Graham
