  1. My Carbon B6 arrived today. Very pleased with the quality. (weight : 3.5 kg)
  2. I just ordered one B6 carbon too for my Duratec R. Steve informed me that a new version of the B6 will be released soon, with a new back frame (a bit heavier) to be FIA compliant (tests ongoing).
  3. yep... The headlights were 7" instead of 5 3/4 (they replaced it too), there was 2.8L of oil in the seq. gearbox instead of 1.9L : (we drained it to know why lot of oil went into the cockpit from the box, as a result we had to disassemble the seats, the tunnel cover, the hand brake... to clean evrything) 1 oil leak between the oil filter plate and the engine 1 oil leak in the seq. gearbox where the cable for neutral goes out 1 fuel leak from a sensor attached to the tank Learning 1 week before delivery that they cannot fit the ordered rear big brakes to a LHS car (we will fit them ourselves). ...
  4. Hi Nigel When we went to Dartford (from France) last November to Pick up a new R500 we asked the guy if the ordered quick rack was fitted on the car. ...hmm let me check : no. As they had one quick rack in stock, they replaced it : removed the rad... and a few hours latter the car was (almost) ready ! That's why I can tell you that 8% is the standard on a Duratec R500.
  5. I'm after a race 1/2 tonneau, left side. Has to be clean but will be painted anyway.
  6. After 5 years and 2 Caterham with a Rover K serie, I now have a Caterham Track Car with a 2.0 Duratec 220 (Raceco). Last week-end a installed an AIM Pista and setted up the OP/OT/WT sensors. It seems OK now. I would like to set up the alarms related to those sensors but I don't know the values for a 2.0 Duratec. OP OT>b WT>c Cheers
  7. For sale : K serie fuel rail + injector + loom + "lower manifold" (don't know the name in English) - comes from a VVC 160 EU3 engine. Picture £150 inc delivery
  8. For sale : K serie VVC Manifold plenum as seen on this picture. £110 inc. delivery.
  9. The wheels arrived yesterday. This morning they were fitted with the Michelin slicks and then fitted to one of the car (R500 Duratec) and everything seems perfect.

    RIF Aero

I have one for sale. As it is fitted to a car that has a full cage 1 small edge was cutted each side of the aero to match the design of the cage. I can do picture of course. As a result it should go to a car that has a full cage, then it's perfect. It is in good condition, undrilled for mirrors. £155 including delivery to UK. Tillet B6

Has anybody experience with the Tillet B6 seats? They should offer better clearance for the crash helmet, is that verified?
  12. Thanks Jerry for your detailed reply.
  13. Yep you are right. On my LHD car, the left shoulder belt mounting point is quite well positionned where as the right point is 5-6cm too much on the right.
  14. I'm about to buy a HANS device. Last October I went in Dijon with the French Lotus Club and as Stand 21 is based near this track they came to educate us and share their experience regarding on Hans Devices. I tried one Hans in my caterham and I dicovered that the holes in the Caterham Tillets, behind my shoulders, are too low. After some searches I saw that Tillet released 2 seats with revised holes to be Hans friendly : the B4 and the B6. The B6 is based on the Caterham tillet seat with he same fixing points underneath. Does anybody have any experience using the Tillet B6? Is there another way I should explore and what is the solution adopted by UK racers if they are using a HANS device?
  15. OK Guys, I've read very very carefully what you wrote. Then I discussed with the technical manager from Compomotive. He confirmed to me that 7X13 ET24 for front wheels is common for a Caterham. Then he gave me the exact dimensions from the flat face of the hub to the outsite of the rear wheel (8,5x13 ET24) and those dimensions are exactly what we supposed they would. Based on that, I confirmed my order for 4 sets of wheels. I will let you know, especially if I'm wrong.
  16. On my previous R300 I've bought them On Elise Parts. (60° / tapered Open)
  17. With existing wheels I'm OK with that. What I try to explain (not always easy for me in English) is that it seems there is enough place for half an inch added on both sides of the front wheel.
  18. Yesterday I measured how much I have between my wheels and my wingstays. There is at least 16mm, I think it shoul be OK then. (there is much less between the tyres and the wing stays, but with the same offset as the current wheel this shouldn't change with the new wheels).
  19. Order for news wheels is placed. For budget reason I went for monoblock wheels. I wanted to keep ET24 to keep the standard position of the wheel (bearing aligment...). I was not able to find 13x9 wheels with ET24 (asked to KN, Compomotive and MB, Mad'In). As a result I ordered 7x13 ET24 front and 8,5 ET24 rear, Compomotive CXR.
  20. OK decision is now done. I will order 4 sets, 7x13 ET24 front and 9x13 ET24 rear, in black. Jeremy I will give you the details later in te day.
  21. @ epimetheus: it's ok for this time... @ simonpa: yep matt black
  22. One more question God, Are you using -2° De Dion ears ?
