  1. My brake pressure sensor is now fitted. Picture http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4729/capteurpressionfreinopt.jpg
  2. Michael, Are you still after a nose cone? I have a used one in good condition. Cheers Gilles
  3. You're too strong guys! Yes this exhaust is 1 out of a set of 5 that were manufactured by Cheesman. Where the Raceline pipes (manufactured by Cheesman too) have a diameter of 1.75 inches (44 mm), those sets have a diameter of 1 7/8 inches (48 mm). Hopefully it will be sort out very shortly. Once again thanks a lot to all of you. (Mic I'm still waiting for you reply regarding the supercharged project). Edited by - Catastrada on 10 Feb 2012 10:37:20
  4. Thanks a lot to all of you for your valuable reply because I really need to find it as quick as possible. I will try ton contact Cheesman although I don't know if they deal directly with individuals. @Dannylt : one of my customer only does industrial treatments for parts in stainlesssteel and parts in alloy. In 2007, when I bought my R300 (Rover) they treated the exhaust and the result was really amasing. http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/6311/41avantoptihv2.jpg and http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/6392/41apresoptipz1.jpg. In 2010, when I bought my Duratec R, they did the same. http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/2541/collecteur0.jpg and http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/1632/collecteur1.jpg As my engine was out (gearbox broken) this winter I gave them the exhaust to have the same treatment done. When they removed it from the bath of acid, they saw there was a http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6681/photobkg.jpg. The parts that are mat are very thin now and when we installed the engine back in the car last saturday, during the 1st heat primaries and collector were out of order : http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/874/4en1perce.jpg. That's why I now need to source primaries and 4-1 collector (silencer is from Raceco)... Edited by - Catastrada on 9 Feb 2012 07:40:17
  5. I'm lost and nI need your help! After a stupid treatment, my exhaust (primaries + 4-1 collector) need to be replaced. My S3 Caterham has a 2.0 Duratec. Engine was built by Ammo and the car was built by Fauld Sport in late 2005 early 2006 for one of his customer. I bought the car to this customer (I'm the 2nd owner). I called Stuart Fauld and he thinks that the exhasut was bought to Raceline. I called Raceline and they sent me a picture of the exhaust they can sell me : http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/2256/raceline2.jpg. When I compare it to my existing primaries, I see they are different. http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8374/namethatexhaust.jpg http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/2027/namethatexhaust2zu.jpg Would someone be able to tell me which exhaust I have (where to source it). I would like to avoid modifying the hole of my right skin and to remap my engine that was recently remaped by Steve Greenald... 6. Mog racing web site is www.mog-racing.com/ I would be surprised they can offer an FIA seat. Tillett is selling the B6F that is FIA compliant. Tillett web site
  7. The gearbox that I had rebuilt by Road and Race is a 5 speed t9 case with Quaife straight-cut internals. Road and Race is rebuilding a gearbox for £150 flat labor fee plus the new parts. So rebuilt will cost you around £500 on average and up to £1,000 if it has heavy issues (my case). In the same time i had the main case replaced with an alloy case (minus 4kg + a draing plug)
  8. Mine was just rebuilt by Road and Race.
  9. 1. You could search and find someone that can do this in your area 2. Like we did ealier this year, we built a small owner group, have Steve Greenald (Track and Road) fly to Strasbourg and map our cars. We rent a rolling road installation. We shared to cost and as a result it costed much less than going over the Channel with our trailers. Edited by - Catastrada on 20 Dec 2011 20:17:19
  10. Untill now I was using a POV VIO 1.5. Very happy with it (see ) but I was temped to move to "HD". I had bad feedback of the pov HD riliability when fitted on cars. A company involved in data logger and emeded video systems I know is discounting the pov HD to clear their small stock and will then stop to sell it. I looked at the market quite deeply. Personnaly I don't like to GoPro because of its design. I was about to buy the news Drift HD wich seems to be cool, and very good in the tests I read compared to the Contour HD or GoPro HD. And finally I just bought the CamSport HD Max. Full HD 60 im/sec in 720p for cool replay Hdmi output 1 external mic 1 remote control (cable) with a led informing when you are recording. ... I ordered an optinal remote control (cable) that will be fitted under my dash. There are 2 plugs on it : 1 for the external mic and 1 to wire it to the car battery. Another root to explore is the Contour +, HD and GPS embeded. A friend of mine has one of them and images are really fine but the GPS datas are not very accurate.
  11. I've an AIM MXL Pista in my Duratec R for data logging, with a GPS module. I had a pov vio 1.5 (I just sold) as camera. I've been frustrated for years not being able to overlay the datas on my videos. AND, a few weeks ago I too discovered RaceRender. I wrote a BC post on it here. 12. May I suggest to have a look to the new AIM Solo.
  13. I ordered mine earlier this week but did not go this ebay route as I was a bit scarry by the very cheap price to be honest. And of course I paid much much more (£165) I will post a picture once it's installed.
  14. oops sorry for the confusion
  15. I have a pair of De Dion ears for AP calipers too, but it depends what degree you are looking for. 2° for radial tyre or 0,25° for crossply tyres? Those I'm selling are 0,25°, black, perfect condition. Like those but much cheaper BM if interested. Edited by - Catastrada on 22 Nov 2011 08:13:52
  16. Not Castrada 😳, but Catastrada Alibaba. Edited by - Catastrada on 16 Nov 2011 16:28:10
  17. Not related to Megagrad, but as I just removed my engine (Duratec) + gearbox to send the box to R&R, I decided to replace the clutch plate. After a few searches the best price I found was Burton Power (AP Racing CP5352-5 at £66 inc. VAT).
  18. Richard, Is your wheel angle sensor fitting reliable ?
  19. Thanks a lot RIchard, very helpful 😶‍🌫️
  20. Thank you Bob for your interesting link, I did not know this site Richard, I think I understand what you mean, but would be interested to see a picture if possible. I plan to cut the copper line and to install a T. Now I think I 've found the T with the right thread for the AIM brake pressure sensor and the 2 adaptors for the copper line. Edited by - Catastrada on 14 Nov 2011 22:07:56
  21. Thank you very much for your reply Richard. I too think it's worth logging the brake pressure. May i ask you where on the brake line you installed it?
  22. Thanks for your reply Roger. I know what sensor i need and where to source it. My question is more related to fitting advice.
  23. Did some of you fit a brake pressure sensor? It will be wired to my AIM MXL dash. If yes, where and how did you fit it please?
  24. Don't have the size in memory but there are 2 screws on Spa mirrors, 1 is metric and the other is imperial
