  1. I need to order 2 sets of Pagid pads for my Caterham fitted with uprated AP brakes front and uprated AP brakes rear. Does anybody know the Pagid references for RS15 front and RS14 rear. I beleive it's E1265 (front) and E1587 (rear) but I would like a confirmation.
  2. I just drained mine and it was plug to casing only.
  3. I add a point : i need to remove the tank from my DD S3 (imperial chassis). The 2 "brackets" that are below the fuel tank are fixed on my car. A friend of mine has a R500 D (metric chassis), and those 2"brackets" are removable which make a differnce...
  4. My summer tyres are 245/40/18 Y97. If I remenber correctly I have 3.2 front and 3.0 rear. I usually put a bit more (0.2) than what Audi says. I don't change the tyres pressure when I tow (I just check them).
  5. My tow car is an A6 3.0 auto too (Avant - Adaptative Air Suepension - Perfect tow car). The auto gearbox cannot be faulty. Yes the plug socket is telling the car that there is a trailer. The ESP rules are then adjusted.
  6. Are the existing holes in the wheel (Standard CC Q/R) compliant with Rapfix System?
  7. And now my brake pressure is shown on . This video is still a test of my new configuration. The camera need to be mounted lower and sound need to be improved too. Now I know how much I need to improve the way I use my brakes.... Edited by - Catastrada on 2 Apr 2012 16:19:23
  8. Thank you all for your replies. I will leave it as it is for the moment
  9. Here is the end of this story. Cheesman found the tools the used in 2005 to produce those 5 sets of exhaust and offered me to manufacture one new set. I received it 2 weeks ago and yes it's exactly the same. Very happy
  10. dannylt, what oil grade are you using? I'm using (full synthetic) 5w50, but doing some searches here I've read that Ammo is using 0w30. Edited by - Catastrada on 30 Mar 2012 13:58:53
  11. Sorry I did not mention that it's dry sumped too (brise oil tank in front of the engine). Leaving it as it is is still an option in my head...
  12. I decided to cool down the oil temperature of my Duratec. Car is S3 chassis, engine is a 2.0L Duratec built by Ammo producing 224hp @ 7.200 rpm (mapped last year by Steve Greenald). This is a track day car only. When push hard the oil T° is between 100° and 107°. (water remains at 80°). Not too much for the engine neither for the oil, but I would like to stay in the 80°-90° range. I find that my gearbox is quite hot too (Quaife 5sp straight cut with alloy case and cover, rebuilt this year by R&R), parlty because of the heat transfer (I think). For those reasons I'm thinking of installing an air/oil cooler in front of my rad. (don't want to go the laminoca route) Any idea on how many rows the oil cooler should have?
  13. It depends on the offset of the wheels. If they were already fited to a S3 chassis and that yours is a S3 chassis then it will be fine. Clearance for Front AP brakes will be fine too. Clearance for De Dion ears shouldn't be an issue but (like with almost any other wheels), may eventually need your ears to be slightly adpated (don't know the word in English...). Even rear big brakes are OK with those wheels.
  14. I had mine modified to have a drain plug, much easier to drain. Done by a local workshop used to weld alloy. Very cheap. Level is aroud 2cm below the mentionned plate with engine running. That way the oil coming back from the engine through the top of the tank, will fall on the plate and then from the plate smoothly to the oil, instead of falling directly into the oil and making air bubble.
  15. For those who are interested (if there are ?) I've found the detail of the circuit here.
  16. My Caterham (track day car only) has an AIM MXL Pista Dash. It had the Caterham fuel gauge fitted under the dashboard. I removed it and would like to use the existing wires to be able to read the fuel level on the AIM dash. I've found this interesting web page from k80rum. A fuel sender damping circuit is mentioned to slow the response of the fuel level voltage. I understand what it's about and why I need it. But where can I found more details on what to source / what to do to have it work?
  17. Yes i did. Should be able to send you pics this evening
  18. I have one. I'm away from my garage due to business travel. Will be back with more details and picture on Thursday if you are interested.
