  1. My alternator bracket is broken and need to be replaced. It's fitted on a 2.0 Duratec, on the exhaust side. Chris at Raceline never saw such a bracket and my alternator would need to be replaced to use Raceline ones. If someone knows where I can source such a bracket it would help me a lot... 2. And now the Geartronics flatshift is working
  3. Yep I remember Elie.
  4. but it is Another propshaft is on the way and should arrive this morning. But most of all : the Sadev is IN 🥰 Picture I will sent you an email because 3 things need to be modified / planned before you swap. Once they are done, the swap with the Sadev is 100% plug and play now.
  5. As planed I'm in the process of fitting my Sadev seq. Gearbox. Currently we are stuck as yesterday evening we discovered that the new uprated proshaft sent by Caterham has 2 impacts on the side that goes into the gearbox, exactly where the gearbox seal sits. It means that the seal will be damaged pretty soon if we fit it. We need to wait for a replacement... Picture of 1 impact The second impact is 180°opposite... But we fitted the propshaft guard in my tunnel (S3 imperial) : picture As we have a R500D in the garage, we were able to take measurements. The fitting is not plug and play. But when we look how CC fitted it to the R500D, it seems that it wasn't either.
  6. Ich kann auch auf Deutsch sprechen Ich bin in Elsass
  7. My new Sadev seq. Gearbox should be delivered next week and I will fit it the week after. As a result I will replace my standard propshaft with the R500 with seq. propshaft type. FYI, although it does not appear on their website yet, Caterham does sell another type of proshaft that was deisgned for the R600/R620. My car is an S3 with Arch chassis. I ordered the prop guard as well. I will let you know how it goes. Edited by - Catastrada on 20 Feb 2014 07:39:17

    3.92 CWP

Road and race just refreshed my LSD and replace my 3.92 CWP with a 3.62. As a result my 3.92 CWP are for sale: £100 including delivery to UK.
  9. ian, On the bellhousing page you linked there are 2 different bellhousings and all the confusion comes from there. They both are short (let´s say the lenght between the engine and the propshaft), one is standard (8.5 flywhell) and one is compact (7.25 flywheel). Edited by - Catastrada on 9 Jan 2014 19:03:44
  10. The bellhousing sold by Caterham for Duratec's (or the standard Raceline) will have the same length as yours (if it's the Caterham one). In that case no need to change the input shaft nor the footwell. In that case flywheel and clutch kit need to be 8,5''.
  11. Regarding the bellhousing you can have a short one from Raceline (20mm shorter => further back in the chassis, need shorter input shaft and loner engine mounts) that is not "compact". In that case Flywheel and clutch kit are 8,5'' where the compact one requires 7,25'' items. (I guess that the starter is different too).
  12. Hi Ian , I know the answer for the Sadev is 1.2 😬 And for the Quaife G60 it's 1.9L (1st hand information from Len, Technical Sales at Quaife). Edited by - Catastrada on 29 Dec 2013 09:07:19
  13. Just in case, I will soon advertise my Type 9 5 sp gearbox, Quaife internals + alloy maincase (with drain plug) + alloy cover (easy fill in plug). Short Input Shaft. Recently refreshed by R&R. It was a perfect fit for my 2.0 Duratec. Edited by - Catastrada on 23 Dec 2013 09:37:00
  14. I don't know if Alafano products are known/popular in UK. After AIM launched the Solo, Alfano launched their ADS GPS device you may also consider. I have an AIM MXL Dash with the GPS antena and I never had any issue to get the satellite fix.
  15. Thanks Pendennis I did some searches and: 1. The spigot bearing depth (lots of english words learned those past days...) seems to be 16mm. 2. With a 171mm length, the input shaft seems to be engageed by 19mm in this bearing, which means there's an even little extra depth beyond. (I wonder if the 176/196mm are not historical Ford lenghs, before the Duratec developement?) Edited by - Catastrada on 6 Dec 2013 13:11:53
  16. OK things are moving on. I had a 1st hand confirmation that the input shaft lenght for the Caterham bellhousing (191,5 mm) is 191mm indeed. Measurement was done on a Sadev Gearbox as specified and fitted by Caterham Cars. It means that 171mm for the short Raceline bellhousing (172mm) is correct too.
  17. I did the same and had the same answer as you Peter. Today I talked to my contact at Sadev and he said that all boxes now have: - a modified shift lever - a modified mount (where the box sits on the chassis) But he was not able to describe the modifications.
  18. Hi Elie Yes that's an idea. By the way I just sent you an email.
  19. Ok thank you, I will try to find people at CC that can help me on that.
  20. And do you know what modification was done?
  21. Thank you Rob. By chance do you know how much does the cranshaft (bearing spigot) protrude into the "bellhousing space", measured from the engine face that will contact the bellhousing?
  22. Thanks for your input. Do you remember the final length of the shaft? Can you precise which gearbox / bellhousing you are using? Edited by - Catastrada on 2 Dec 2013 14:30:52
