  1. Survey done as well. The watch on the 1st image looks cool and elegant and not too eye catching to me. Edited by - Catastrada on 29 Aug 2014 12:39:08
  2. When I fitted my Sadev seq. Gearbox last winter I changed my propshaft for the propshaft Caterham is selling for R500D with seq. Gearbox. When I received this new propshaft I was not able to notice any difference with my existing propshaft (same diametier, same UJ size...) except that there are no nipples on the new one.
  3. Hi Clive, I've been using RaceRender for a few years now. For example you can see the result on that recent . I'm happy to share what I know
  4. I have a Racing Battery RCB 400 on my Track Car with a 2.0 l Duratec. It´s fine except when the car is sleeping outside (hotel) the night before a trackday when it's cold at night (let say below 5° C). In that case I use a track battery with a quick connector to wake it up.
  5. We target 1.5 bar which is 21.8 psi when hot.
  6. One alternator is now sold, so 2 are still available.
  7. I now decided to sell the 3 alternators I have. Same size / design as described in my 1st post. 1 is new, bought from Ammo (Raceco) last year, never fitted £150 delivered 1 is used, from Brise, but was professionnaly tested (sticker) £150 delivered 1 was removed today from my car, perfect working order: £90 delivered SOLD Edited by - Catastrada on 17 Jun 2014 07:50:37
  8. For sale my spare alternator, Brise / Denso ALT-5021. It's the same as this one but on mine the Brise sticker says 65A. It's in really good condition. New £234 inc VAT exc shipping. Yours for £160 inc delivery to UK. Edited by - catastrada on 2 Jun 2014 14:32:28
  9. Peter one of the guys who bought a Sadev with me has his 6 sp. Gearbox for sale. It was refreshed last week by Road and Race and is still there. There is an add in the For Sale section. I'm pretty sure he could do a small effort on the mentionned price. Drop me a mail if it's an option.
  10. Simonpa, could you check if you have one ?
  11. OK let's see if you find it before I order it.
  12. YOU ARE TOO STRONG !!! Thanks a lot, I should find a solution now
  13. I'm after the alternator tensioner for a Rover. This is this part. Caterham no longer have it. I know it's a Rover part but was not able to source it If someone has one...
  14. I recently moved from a H pattern (Quaife 5 sp.) to a Sadev seq. with flatshift. My car is a track car only. The other point to consider is that the H pattern requires lot less efforts to switch gears compared to a seq. With a seq. you really need to push/pull quite hard, with a H pattern you change gears with 2 fingers. It really depends how you plan to use your car. On the other hand, what is cool with a seq. is that you can fit a flatshift Edited by - Catastrada on 4 Apr 2014 10:52:38
  15. James if I understand what you did, you wired the potentiometer from the gearbox to the clutch switch pin of your ECU and then your ECU was managing the ignition cut strategy*. What we do is wire the potentiometer from the gearbox to a Geartronics flatshaift ECU. This flatshift ECU is using a closed loop strategy to cut ignition. Then the flatshift ECU is either wired to the engine ECU that only does what the flatshift ECU tells him to do (cut ignition / no cut ignition), which means the engine ECU has a clutch switch pin. or wired directly the flatshift ECU to the coils to cut/ not cut ignition, when your ECU is locked as Caterham MBEs are. But now we are sorted, the first CSR 280 race is completed including the flatshaift wiring, I just need to calibrate the flatshift. It will be done tonight *Older engine ECU were not so good in managing ignition cut. More recent ECU including MBEs are now using a clever closed loop strategy too.
  16. You mean Olin, good idea thanks 😶‍🌫️
  17. We fitted a Sedav gearbox + the Geartronics Flatshift on my car. The Geartronics GCU is connected to my Emerald and evertthing seems to be fine. Now we are in the process of fitting a Sadev gearbox + geartronics on the 2 Rcae CSR of my friends. The point is that they are using the MBE ECU encrypted by Caterham. Does anybody has an exprience of fitting the Geartronics GCU on a CSR260? Is there a pin available on this ECU for "clutch switch"? If not we need to wire the Geartronics GCU to each ignition coil AND to to the 12+ ignition supply. In that case we need to identify the 12+ ing supply, but we don't know where it is Edited by - Catastrada on 14 Mar 2014 20:14:27
  18. I changed the link in my initial url (not the bracket yet).
  19. You really should, isn't it your firewall that is blocking ? The link is https://imageshack.com/i/n8jfztj
