  4. I have the same radiator (race / aluminium) and it is starting to leak too... Reading the BC I discovered that it is very common. If I cannot fix it, I will buy the standard one that seems to work perfectly for engine then have less than 180hp even for track days.
  5. I recently bought race wing stays, and new wings. Today I replace the previous wing stays with the race wing stays. Then I positionned the wings properly. I had to "build" a kind of spacer on the "back braket" to avoid the tyre to touch the wing (I did not stick the wing at this stage). Then I tried to remove the wheel with the wing in position and there begin my problem... I cannot! If I need to create a spacer for the "front braket" to clear space, then I don't nedd to replace my previous "non race" wing stays... I add that my front wheels are the 6x13 CC 8 spokes, with 048 185/60/13. Did I miss something? Edited by - Catastrada on 15 Mar 2008 16:41:51
  6. I thought the rubber engine mounts were specific to the VVC engine (to increase the clearence between engine and bonnet). As I would like to replace my rubber engine mounts I asked CC if they were specific to the VVC engines, and CC answered "no". What is the right answer please?

  8. Fitting forged pistons seems the road to follow. But one more question : I understand that forged pistons (their design) gives the engine a higher compression ratio than with the standard pistons. Correct ? If yes, will the standard ECU be able to manage this?

  10. One friend of mine is driving a Caterham with the EU2 VVC engine, mainly on track (80%). 4,000 miles ago he broke one piston. He then decided to replace the 4 pistons with new ones. Last week he broke again 1 piston He is now thinking of replacing it with forged pistons. Is it the way to go (all inputs apreciaed). If yes, is it an easy swap or need the conrods to be replaced too?

  13. Thank you Gambo, but my R300 is grey and blackn with black harness, red crutch strap is maybe too much then. I should have precised this. But anyway thank you for your proposal. 😶‍🌫️
