  1. I'm after 1 crutch strap for Caterham harness, black
  2. I will follow this 😶‍🌫️ Edited by - Catastrada on 20 Jul 2008 08:51:16
  3. I forgot to have full throttle fully open during 😔 the compression measurement 😔 I will redo them. Is there a way to be sure that the valves are closed to test the head except removing the "top of the head"?
  4. Thank you Dave for this quick reply. Any idea of the regular compression values ?
  5. Yesterday I measured the compression of my VVC engine (EU3 / 160bhp). Beginning from cambelt side: Cylinder 1: 15 bars Cylinder 2: 14 bars Cylinder 3: 13 bars Cylinder 4 : 16,5 bars I don't know the standard compression for this Engine, but mine seems low and with a quite big difference between the cylinders. Now what do I do? I plan to end the "year" (5/6 track days) and then to have it "repared". For legal reason, I will keep the VVC system. I think of 3 solutions : - Buy a new VVC Engine: around 3,500 € - Have mine repared with standard parts: I guess 1,500 € - Have mine repared with parts to improve the reliability : forged pistons, solid followers (I'm fed up with the noise of the hydraulic followers), and ?? No idea at all about the cost. What do you think ? Edited by - Catastrada on 19 Jul 2008 08:08:04
  6. As I did the job I now can say that E goes between A and the 3 way connector as A is a bit too long
  7. I have my answer and I share it for search purpose. This set is not done exclusively for the rear brakes of the Caterham. The part A on the picture can be used "through" a body pannel (like our front brake hoses for example, that are going through our side pannels). If used this way, they need to be fixed to the pannel, and that's the purpose of E. So E is useless.
  8. 2 days ago, I decided to replace the rear brake pads of my R300 (rear standard calipers) Unfortunately, I broke the right copper brake pipe. And you know how it always goes : I have a track day session on Saturday. I decided to replace both brake pipes with "flexi" brake hoses. I pick up one set of these hoses at Mog Racing who had one in stock . But I'm not sure how to fit it exactely. Following this picture, I'm pretty sure that : A goes into the 3 way connector B goes into C (B does not fit the thread of D) D goes into the caliper But what do I do with E and F ?
  9. Unfortunately,I'm pretty sure that the "new axial" starter does not fit with the 4 in 1 exhaust, else I would have buy this one.
  10. My starter gave up too (5 years old). I have a 4-1 exhaust too (R300). I decided to go for the standard starter CC is selling (but obviously not available through their web site). Price is £95. I "customized" a heat protection. Edited by - Catastrada on 11 Jul 2008 07:42:20
  11. I need to order brake pads for my front AP 4 pots Caliper (the latest model). Does anybody have the part number of Ferodo DS2500 pads please
  12. Yes I am. Can you send me pictures? On which collector was he initially fiited? Do you already have the main measurements?
  13. What is the description of "superlight" wing stays please?
  14. No news from Chris. Wing Stays are still available.
  15. I did some measurement to have clear ideas. The measure is between the axle of the wheel to the upper braket of the wing stays. Standard wing stays : around 34cm Race wing stays : around 32cm The wing stays I bough : around 30cm I ordered race wing stays to CC and those "very" low profile wing stays are now in the for sale section
  16. I'm selling low profile wing stays for cycle wings. I recently bought them here but they are too low for road tyres. When I fit them with the wings, I cannot remove my wheels (8 spokes CC wheels 6x13 + Yoko 048 185/60/13). Below are some measurements so that you can be sure you can use them: This measure is the distance between the axle of the wheel and the upper bracket (?) of the wing stay. Standart wing stays : around 34cm Race wing stays (what I tought I was buying) : around 32cm The wing stays I'm selling : 30cm I believe they can be used with slick tyres. They are in very good condition, cost new £108 inc VAT exc delivery. I sell them £75 inc. delivery to UK. Edited by - Catastrada on 19 Mar 2008 11:03:31
