  1. I'm not depressed anymore... Bit of a stroke of luck last night at the B&HMC. One of it's members involved in the running of the Speed Trials this year offered me the loan of his helmet which is in perfectly good nick and spot on my size to boot. Saves me having to buy a helmet for just the one event this year, and I can look out for bargains later in the year in preperation for next season. Hopefully the V2pro will be available before too long. Btw Tam... All the Best Adrian
  2. Bad news... Ah well ... Anyone have a Bell Sport 4? At £310.56 (exc VAT) at yonder place in Wrexham, it's the "budget" choice from my shopping online. Just wondered if it was any good? Adrian
  3. I'm depressed... Just over 2 years into fatherhood and I've put embarrassingly little milage on the BD in the meantime. The insurance companies suggested I get "Lay up cover!" But that's not why I'm depressed... I'm determined to participate in some competition with her, starting off with the Brighton speed trials, (and beat the Couchman!) may be moving onto the speed series next year. (Well, I guessed you all need someone else to poke fun at!) First things first, I need a new helmet to conform to BS 6658-85 Type A/FR or SNELL 2005 standards. After a quick search online, NOW I'm depressed! ☹️ Anybody have any suggestions as to where to get a MSAUK approved helmet at a price less than the average monthly mortgage? TTFN Adrian
  4. 'Course it would help if I'd remembered the "." in my email address... DOH ❗ Try again Phil...
  5. Spare wheel bag in navy blue with a whte zip. Good condition. Made for 15" wheels. will squash easily into a 14" or even a 13" with squeeze. A bargain at a £10. Contact Adrian Elkin if interested. Adrian Edited by - Adrian Elkin on 12 May 2007 08:25:03
  6. They fitted my '90 HPC so they'll fit fit your SS Phil. Contact me ASAP to confirm. If not, they're yours Mark. Adrian
  7. A pair of old style, Caterham, black leather seats. Fore and aft adjustment on both and unusually, recline adjustment on the driver (or could be fitted for the passenger) seat. Still comfy; went on the Swiss trip with them a few years ago. Been in the garage for a bit & need a little TLC, hence £60 the pair Contact Adrian Elkin if interested. 8. One Carbon-bits.com aeroscreen for sale. Never fitted to a car. Got as far as bonding the rubber seal to the base and that's it. Didn't pass Richard's quality control although I'd challange you to spot the imperfection. Also for sale, set of three Racetech mirrors 1 x F1 style, Black, Centre mount, round swivel base. Flat Glass, Straight stem. 2 x Classic style, left and right hand with a fully lockable swivel adjustment, in black. Can deliver to Stoneleigh. Contact Adrian Elkin for more details. 9. Peter, half hood is yours, Stephen, heated front screen is yours, Paul, out door cover is yours, John, wheels are yours. Bearings already gone I'm afraid, Nic, headlamps are yours, GJT, half-shaft is yours. Not sure what you meant about the boxed Hubs. Did you mean the bearings? If you get in touch with James or call him on +447765 220501 to arrange payment & delivery.
  10. Please email James and not myself, Thanks! 11. Thanks for the info and the offer of spares Mark. You're probably right altough I wonder about the hub since it has the 4.24 (Ford) PCD as oppose to the smaller 3.something off a Triumph. Unfortunately he's down in Devon, though I'll let him know about your spares should he wish to purchase any on his return. Will keep you posted. Adrian
  12. Just had a call from a fellow blatchatter who's front hub assembly has disintegrated whilst out on the road. Doesn't know which bit yet as he's examining it as I type. He's got until 5pm before the AA arrives. Just in case he (the AA Man) can get the spares in time, does anyone know what the upright assembly comprises of, i.e. what vehilcle and vintage the upright, stub axle and hub originally came from? The car is a '96-7 K-series. Regards Adrian
  13. To cut a long story short, Mike and I never got around to making the exchange, so with his permission the stuff is still available. Any takers? Regards Adrian I should be at the Autosport show in January to swap exchange if convenient. (Dependant on my "mate" procuring a ticket for me! 😬)
  14. Oh dear! Don't tell my brother in law that; he might get a little upset!
  15. First generation S-Type seats, as part of the original S-type trim package, in excellent condition. All black leather and piping, still complete with head rests. Sits the driver very low in the car compared with the standard seat, and gives excellent lateral support from the side bolsters. They are adjustable for both lumber and under thigh support too. A good, more comfortable alternative to a Tillet. Reason for sale? Just read Mike Culmer's story in LF so I must picked up a 'Downgraditis bug' from him. Probably rarer than a bottle of Bushmills Millennium whisky, (for a bottle of which I'd p/ex) hence asking price of £500. No offers. However, I'm certain the first to see will buy as I did. Buyer collects or pays transportation cost. Call, text or e-mail adrianelkin@lotus7club.com 07710 230892
