  1. I have a 7 on my roof, and the most leakes I get are through the windscreen
  2. Thank you for your help this most useful. Ed
  3. I am going to be removing my engine and gear box of my K Series to replace the clutch and CRB. A couple of years ago I found an article on here with a step by step guide to engine removal. Now I cannot find it anywhere. Can any one help?
  4. Hi I was the idiot waving at you on the corner by the Church Ed
  5. Ian I am on a 86 Deg Thermostat, and I have also not calibrated the temperature sensor. Mine does fluctuate between 80-96, depending on how car is being driven and ambient temp, but the main difference this year is the fact it has been steady as against steadily climbing at speed or in high ambient temps. I have also not needed to top up the coolant in 2.5k miles. As Gunderson pointed out Callum does not appear to have the issues I had, however mine started out with the same symptoms and got worse over time. Ed
  6. Callum I experienced exactly what you describe, plus a tendency to keep increasing in temp when driving on motorways. Mine is a 98, 1.8K Supersport. To cut a long story short it turned out to be a leaking inlet manifold gasket ( mine was still the original black one, not the improved a Green one, you can see by looking at the stub sticking out of the side of the manifold at the back of the engine.) and a pinhole in the water rail by the forward mounting bracket. Since sorting these issues the temp goes up to just under 100 and just sits there. Ed
  7. Spotted at Eurotunnel Calais, Whikst waiting for delayed train. Then you passed me on M20! Ed
  8. These people were pretty good, put the nose cone back together, straightened the chassis, replaced the radiator, and panel beat the bonnet, after hitting a Brown Bear during GBB! I can let you have their names if you like Ed W
  9. I was in the blue BMW who let you out in the Carpark. Ed W

    Possible HGF

I would go along with the advice given so far. I had a leaking water rail, pin hole where the front bracket attaches, and also a leaking inlet manifold gasket. Symptoms included white smoke on start up see Angus website here. Ed
  12. Spotted by swmbo at about 08:00 today, thought it was mine, which is a bit strange as I am in Germany and my car is mid Atlantic! Ed

    6 in a container

But it is still cheaper than shipping over 2 Oxen for your cart - and it is a lot faster
  14. Remote key + programmer received in post. 1 minute later job done! Works perfectly, highly recommend if you do not have a spare key fob. Ed
