  1. In reply to one of Rob's messages, I'm all for people making a pound or two but I wish they would get their facts right. Firstly Two Gates Wheels are absolutely nothing to do with KN and never have been in fact Two Gates Wheels went into receivership in January 2000, they also own the name Alleycat, Two Gates Wheels did supply Caterham for a short while with 6x14 and also made Revolution wheels for a short period, they were bought out by Raceline and although KN are based in Telford they are no where near Two Gates - so why advertise Minilites when you are selling Minators ? Its like the difference between Caterham and locust !!
  2. Regarding genuine superlite wheels you can have them silver with a polished rim OR silver all over for the same price - we are only to happy to help. No our wheels are not sold by Demon Tweeks those are the cheap Australian gravity cast imitation and I agree look out for their quality !! As for Compomotive copy 1) it doesn't look anything like the original 2)Our British made Superlites are made from LM 25 heat treated, case hardened with steel inserts and were specifically designed for competition use.
  3. In reply to Daryls reply - yes we do know of Performance in Australia ! As far as discount goes on 3 piece split rims since the beginning of this year when Andrew Dent negotiated a discount to club members Superlite have been offering 15% off retail prices on all their 3 piece wheels in the following sizes 13" with widths from 5.5 up to 12" in 1/2" increments also in 14" from 5.5 to 9", 15" with widths from 5.5 to 12" and also 16" with the same widths and superlite are working on 17" 3 piece , the discount applies to Lotus 7 club members.
  4. In reply to Alex's comments , you are quite right caterham have never used Minilite as OE equipment but from 1986 to 1997 caterham used British made superlite wheels as supplied by Performance Industries UK Ltd , Kington , Herefordshire of which in 1997 the name was changed to Superlite Wheels Limited as by this time the whole world knew the name superlite but very few heard of performance. For a while caterham were then supplied by Alleycat (Two Gates Wheels) and later had their own made.
  5. I have some questions :- Are these wheels genuine minilites ? , are they genuine British made Superlites as used by caterham for years or are they the cheap australian version that have been offered in magazines at silly money but are full of porosity and a finish that looks as if they have just been sand cast
