Just driving back from work, was travelling very quickly behind a big bike when after a long left hand corner all of a sudden I had masses of smoke pouring from the exhaust. The car kept travelling ok as I coasted and the smoke died down, I noticed that the oil pressure read fine (just under 4 bar) and it was ticking over happily. I gently gained speed a bit more smoke was visible in my mirror but died down. I was only a mile from home and the car drove back fine.
There is no evidence of oil in the engine bay, everything looks just as it should.
Any idea what caused this momentary blip??
The car is a 94 VX Inj, the engine is completely standard. I was giving it charlie big potatoes at the time admittedly though pulling around 4k at the time it happened I reckon. Editted to say the car is wet sumped.
Thanks for any advice or clues
Dave
